Hello RIT, long time lurker here and finally got legal to grow in my state, looking for some advice. I have a 8x10x10 lean to shed built with 1/2 plywood sheets, 2x4's and steel siding/roof. Ultimately my goal is going to be insulated, painted and wired before first freeze. I'm planning on doing 5-10 plants scrog'd & top'd in dirt, so I figure 1x 1000 watt or 2x 600w with just reflectors. For ventilation I was thinking of doing a passive suction, where I would be just pumping air out through a carbon filter, not sure what size cfm or type of blower needed. My main concern is making the shed airtight and insulated. I live in the PNW where it can get mighty cold during the winter(10-30 degrees fahrenheit), so my first thought was spray foam insulation and kill two birds with one stone, but I am worried about costs, so should I just go styrofoam insulation or the foil bubble wrap stuff? Will the bubble wrap stuff cause hot spots and burn through plant, will those cheaper forms of insulating be enough? I also plan on running a small heater in the room as well. Any and all advice is appreciated, hope I posted this in the right spot, thanks RIT!
