Shed some light on the lights

Is 30,000 cfl lumens enough for 36 2ft plants?

That's barely enough for 2 2ft plants. And I assume you mean for flowering as well? Not even close. A 6 bulb t5 is good for vegging maybe 8 plants, but it doesn't have the strength for flowering 36 plants. Just get a HID.

I would be able to veg that many plants. with that amount of lights. would call it a challenge . 2 foot tall . 36 of them. yeah . most people would shoot 150000 looms that many plants min. they will grow but very slow. and if you intend to flower with that little light., your yield will be next to nothing. you need 10 times the amount to flower then veg. this is a fact, little light they will flower, but not make any buds you could trim all pop corn buds. would be a total joke

I have (2) 1000 watt hps, lights w/ballast. Just been too paranoid to plug them up! I am in the second week flowering,SD,PEX,LARRY OG AND PINEAPPLE CHUNK. They're doin OK but everyday I look at them, I just think, MORE LIGHT. I've grown a lst'd pineapple clone under 15'000 lumens and got around 36 dried grams off of her but she was lst'd to the max. I've gotten good results(potency & yield) off of CFL'S but I just wanted to hear a few opinions on the matter.

plug those hps in. don't raise them high to flood all the plants. that's a mistake. place the light close as possible foot away from plants. and the other plants use your cfl. get them turned on asap. first few weeks is most critical yield. so expect to do 6 to 10 plants per 1000 watts with your plant number. 10 plants under thousand watts. will yield 1ounce each min ! my way. if you raise the light flood the entire room. each plant half ounce .

Like I said.... I've grown under CFL'S since I started. I've always had the bare minimum, as far as lights,soil,no nutes and tap water. Did this for 2 grows. Shit was terrible! Lol. I remember I grew a WW in Miracle grow wit (2) 23watt CFL'S. the thing was 4 ft tall and I pulled about 9 grams dry off if it. lol
I've since then upgraded to 3 separate grow rooms, I will still use CFL'S for my clones in my perpetual but I will INDEED plug the hps's up when I get home.
