serious problems with ebb n gro

For some reason the bottom float valve will only float up to drain the system 3\5 times. It's a huge problem because I can't leave my house for a day without my tomatoes getting over watered and drowning. Anybody else have this problem/solutions?

Do you know how many problems i've observed, assessed, fixed, fixed again, just to find two more?

It's called growing, my friend. Better get used to it!

Or were you just venting...?

just make sure the floats are not getting stuck (wires or tubing can get in the way), if it's faulty, just replace it. I love ebb n gro systems and have not encountered a problem with mine other than user error. I'm sure things need to be replaced occasionally.

is it a CAP ebb n gro? If so, there's your problem. Their control units are awful.

you should either buy a new control bucket, or buy a 2nd cap. so you can always have one on hand while the other's getting replaced on warranty

cap when out of business and no longer warenties thier product i think lol. I got the same one. its not as bad as all you haters are saying, but by no means the best. How long have you had it? I believe there is serious buildup that occurs in ebb and flow salts or brown shit you got to clean out. the mechanical sensor can sometimes not float up and register due to grime. hope this actually helps. compared to most of these responses lol.
