your mother tent doesnt have intake holes on the bottom? i think htg has light movers at a good price. thats a nice size room to flower in :) and nice last harvest.
Well it has a cover on the front that i can roll up to get in. Its black poly plastic with mylar on the inside, and theres lots of cracks and stuff for air to get in, i can always add more holes if needed but its been doing fine so far.
I havent checked out htg's website in awhile but i kno they have a lot of awsome stuff for really cheap. I cant believe i got a brand new 600 watt hps system for only 200$, htg all the way lol.
For my last harvest(my avatar is some of my last harvest lol) i only used not even half the room. So i figure with a mover i get cover that whole area. Thats making me wonder if a simple light mover can almost double my harvest since it will be covering the entire room.

Well heres a pics of what it looks like now.

As you can see iput some pots under the tray to get them closer to the light, and ive moved them all into red plastic cups. Im not sure what i will move them into next. Ill prob go out and buy a few medium size pots, like 1 or 1.5 gallons. Whatever pots i put them in next, i will leave in there until i know what sex they are, then i move all the females to their final 3 gal pots. But....im not sure if thats the best way to do it? Im thinking theres a possability i could be affecting the final outcome? Maybe i should just move them all into 3 gal pots when i switch to flowering?

I was also wondering if i should be using the humidity dome? I kno thats good for clones, npot sure if it matters with seedlings. But if theres a chance it could speed up the proccess even a little bit then ill go ahead and do it.

Oh, and i recently found out its actually better for a HID light to be on 24/7. So instead of keeping it on 20/4, im just gonna keep it 24/7, and hopfully that will speed things up a little too.

i run my light 18/6 in veg, so my plants get some sleep. i keep a smaller clear cup, or a clear cup with about 1/2" cut off top, as a humidity dome. i leave it on till my seedling grows to touch it then remove it. you could go to a 1 gallon pot, then transplant to larger pot once sex is show. your second and third pot also depend on how big you plan on growing it. if you plan in leaving them small a 1.5-2 gallon pot would work fine for the next and last pot i think.

I want them to be as big as possible in the 3 months i have to grow them. So u think i should move them in 1 gal pots, wait to see their sex, then move to 3 gal pots for the rest of flower?

Update: Well i have about 20 more days left to veg. The plants are all still pretty small, hopefully they will really take off here in the next few days.

I pot some new pots. Dollar Tree has the CHEAPEST new pots ive seen. A while back i bought a bunch of 3 gal pots at the hydro store for about 3$ a piece. Dollar tree has 2.5 gal,1.5gal, and 1 gal buckets for a dollar a piece. I think ill be buying pots from there for now on.

The pots i got are 1 gal. I plan on moving them in there later on today after the dam maintence people come by to fix the toilet.

So overall, all the plants are looking good. Ill move them into the 1 gal pots later, veg them for 20 more days. Then ill flower them for the first week in the 1 gal pots until i see whether its male or female, then ill go from there xD

Ok i moved them in the pots last night, totally ran out of soil, just barely had enough. Just hooked up the 600 watt hps and got everything all set up and looking good for the most part.100_1496.jpg100_1495.jpg100_1490.jpg100_1491.jpg100_1494.jpg100_1493.jpg100_1492.jpg

looking good. but i would put the mylar lower so it helps reflect the light.
lol i had a feeling someone was gonna tell me to move the mylar down. I just put it up there so i dont have to move it again when the plants get bigger. i guess im lazy haha
nothing like a nice ringside seat to this grow, like strains that i can afford
so happily watching
lol glad your enjoying it so far! I know i am :) i cant wait untill they get big enough where u can start actually guessing what they are.

Oh man, i have to admitt ive been leaving on the floor. Its an old piece of crap. I've been meaning to buy a new 1. The plastic cover broke off awhile back, and i got some of that extremely sticky stuff thats suppose to catch bugs all over it. Those dam sticky things that you hang gave me so much dam trouble. I touched it idk how many times. 1 day i was cleaning and had it hangi ng from the ceiling fan, and i was high and i walked right into it and the dam thing stuck to my head. I had that sticky poisin shit in my hair for like a week, nothing would ge it out. But anyway, ive been wanting to get a new thermometer that also shows humidity and all that good stuff.

I noticed yesterday the edges of the leaves were all slightly curled up so i moved the light a few more inches away so now its 22-24 inches away. Havent been feeding any nutes yet, just a little water every other day. I guess i wont have to feed with nutes for awhile since im planning on repotting them again.

Im wondering about the dark period during veg. Is it as important to give them total darkness while sleeping during veg as it is in flowering? If so, i need to do a better job of not distubing them, but for some reason, i was thinking it didnt matter so much during veg.

i dont think it matters so much in veg like in flowering. lowe's has dig thermo/humid meters for less then $20. i pain about 13 for mine. mine reads the temp in my room and the closet, and the humidity is about the same in and out of the closet sense i installed my new fan/filter.

probably won't cause trouble, but it would be better to avoid
i've seen some pretty experienced growers say the light leak hermie is pretty rare, a strain that has hermie traits was probably doomed by its genetics
though some strains seem to have more of a rep for being very touchy about growing conditions

14 days left to veg! Their all still looking good. I will go to the hydro store and get some more soil this weekend and move them into their final pots. Im just gonna go ahead and move all 12 into bigger pots and not worry about wasting soil. just got my income tax return so i got a little more money to work with.

There seems to be one minor problem. But it might not be a prob at all, maybe its just natural. Some of the plants leaves are curling up. I think this indicates the light is too close and is the beginning signs of heat stress. But i have the light dam near 2 feet above. should i not worry about this or should i just raise the light up some more?

Each photo is an individual photo of the different strains.

i can't see it the pics, but the curling up of a leaf is usually called canoeing
that is caused by too high a temperature

i'll agree on the high temps. thats one of the reason i was saying about your thermo meter on the floor. it dont tell you the temp at the tops of the plants.

thnx guys for the quick responses! Ya its kinda pointless to have that thermometer on the floor lol! Im guessing theres quit a difference between temp on the floor and the temp at the top of the plants. Ill go ahead and move it up a little higher.

Ive never heard of "canoeing" but it makes sense. Glad to learn some new lingo :)

Ok im glad you guys agree its a temp issue, ill move the light a few inches higher and see what happens.
