fuck all the paper towel shit, just put them into good seedling mix, temps at 25c, humidity as high as you can get. job done
No, this isn't true. Not something you need to worry about. I soak for 6-8 hours before moving to paper towels and once in a while there will still be a floater. In my experience, it doesn't seem to matter and they crack as well as others.I was under the impression that if they didn't sink the first 5 min. That they are not volatile and will not sprout no matter what you do. But I am an amateur and don't know as much as others. Is there anyone that can clear this up? Thank you in advance.
Yeah mine never sunk after 24hrs in water then they cracked about 24hrs after in paperNo, this isn't true. Not something you need to worry about. No you prob don't need to water for a week. Wait until you can stick a finger in and it's dry to the first joint. The seeds are now in the window getting sunlight
My ratchet thing snapped and I need to get another one from shops tomorrow so for the next day and a half they will be in the window.
I'm using bio-bizz all-mix medium, and just moist the soil put the seeds In about 1/4 - 1/2 an inch down then put abit more water over the top of them now in the window getting the sunlight.
Will I need water these again tomorrow or are seedlings good for a couple of days?
Thanks
If they were over soaked they would be on the bottom .What's the strain and breeder? You probably have over soaked the seeds. How many seeds did you try to germinate?
What does "over soaked" even mean? My seeds sit at the bottom for days, and as I've stated earlier, I've NEVER not had one sprout. If they were over soaked they would be on the bottom .
No, generally I let them soak 12-24 hours. Been doing it a while. Good non chlorinated water in a coffee mug and covered with anything to be dark. Most of the seeds will have sunk to the bottom showing they seed has absorbed the water. They may just be starting to crack. Plant the seeds a quarter to half inch deep in your soil and they should start to sprout in a day or so. Hard to crack seeds can be gently scraped with an Emory file, then proceed to soak.I was under the impression that if they didn't sink the first 5 min. I have never had one sink right away, after 24 hours and a tap on them usually does it for meI was under the impression that if they didn't sink the first 5 min.
