seeds in "top shelf" weed

so my buddy picked up from our clinic and bought some true og for $55 1/8th and he found a seed in the weed. now my question is doesn't that lower the potency of the strain? secondly should you find a seed in top shelf weed?

If it's top shelf, then grow that fuckin seed! It's a bonus, in 3 months you could be smoking that seed!
