seeds in "top shelf" weed

so my buddy picked up from our clinic and bought some true og for $55 1/8th and he found a seed in the weed. now my question is doesn't that lower the potency of the strain? secondly should you find a seed in top shelf weed?

if it's something I'd like to see back in my jar, as long as the bud isnt exploding with seeds, i'm smiling when I find one or two
