Seedlings completely sprouted

After 2 days in a wet paper towel 2 of my seeds completely sprouted and ejected the seed casing. Damn tap roots things are over 2" long.
I've planted them. Will they survive?

To elaborate:

Yes, most of the time everything is fine & the taprooted seed will plant & grow just fine.

No, in that if you handle the taproot too much, or if it dries out too much specifically getting a sort of "burnt" tip, your chances of success drop significantly

Yea.....I know. That's why I said that.

Yet another paper towel germination problem thread.

Or cut out the middle man ( actually growing it ) and roll up a germination joint.

At least it's not another f'ing thread.

I've just never seen that before so quickly. I've never had one completely eject the seed casing like that.

As you can see maverick ejects with no issue but goose gets caught up in the pod. Such is life...

You just never know when you get a goose. Could happen to any maverick. He'll ice coulda been saying goodbye to slider .... Top gun 2 would have been totally different. You just never know.

They both sprouted just fine, all is well.
