You think so? Even though the color of it its like green and still standing?
He's just pulling your leg. Re-arange your lights (reflectors would help, too) and keep going. You'll be fine. Unless you fuck up something else.

Oh sweet, you just put a smile in my face, and my hopes are back again!! I'm just gonna improvize and make a fixture for those lights!! You think that is the reason why the other sets of leaves didn't show up!?
Don't wrap anything arround the base of the bulbs. The ballast is in there and needs to be able to disperse heat. You can buy cheap clamp-on reflectors from Walmart for about $10.00. Don't buy them. The reflectors fall off the socket and sit on the ballast or the tube. They can come in contact with the male threaded part of the bulbs and electrocute you. Pieces of shit are not safe.

Gotcha, I read somewhere that using white background color sometimes is better than reflecting foil. You think I should continue with white background or reflecting foil?

I am in process of making a fixture for lights myself, which i think should be fine! I will show you the pics. as soon as I am done!

ps. I live in a place where there are no walmarts or american products!! Europe! haha

Actually. That is more than enough cfl's for now (1500lumen p/6" of seedling growth). Your clear solo cup can actually be lit through the entire cup even the bottom. Everytime your roots see light they turn, id say that thing is trying to kick out some roots probably spending too much energy on root dev. Nothing serious just slows growth.
You are right I actually just noticed that there is a lot of root development going on. Just not sure for how long this will go on until there is a progress noticed! I think it is to early to start feeding, so I am just patiently waiting.

I made one of white posterboard and it worked well enough. A foil one probably wouldn't hold its shape.

PS: Hardly anything Walmart sells is a American product.

Hi all,

I am really a newbie, and this is my first grow. It has been like 10days since my seedlings has sprouted and I only see the first leaves, or known as cotyledon. As far as I have researched the second set of leaves should have been already out by now.

Here are my pictures from my seedling. Please let me know what do you think? Is it maybe a bad seed? I mean the the cotyledon leaves are looking green and healthy!!

Thanks

Problem is NOT ENOUGH LIGHT... gl mate!

use the white background instead. It works way better than foil/alum

Yep too early to feed, too early to overwater. Any day you should be seeing fresh yellow growth at the top. A few days after that some stretching. After the 1st true set of fan leaves when you're plant can actually use its fan leaves to turn light into energy then you will need more light. It really doesnt look that stretched at all by looking at the color and thickness of the stem, it just looks like it was in a dark area when it sprouted. Did the stem look more twisted and spindly before?

Move to different pot! Aurora pots are cheap and give lots of o2 flow great for roots. Good luck things will look up just study and learn. Knowledge is power! and no one is a pro! Even the most knowledgeable person can learn something new. so keep on learning and studying take advice and grow urself while doing so. Happy growing! :leaf::leaf::weed::leaf::leaf:

It basically was the same since it sprouted, it was little twisted, it didn't stretch much since it sprouted, just in the beginning and then it kinda stopped.

Today, I made a DIY light fixtures for my lights, also did some shopping and bought new CFL lights, since I believe the ones I had didn't have much lumens and low on kelvins aswell.

Now I have one main light/CFL which is a little bigger in size and has 65Watt / 6400K / 4100Lumens. I also got two other Philips 32Watt/6500K/around2000lumens each but haven't plugged those ones yet because I think the 64watt one should be enough for this seedling. Please see the pictures below which i took with my gopro. Let me know how my setup and grow cabinet looks. Notice also the intake fan on the left which brings fresh air and little breeze to the seedling. Please feel free to comment or share your thoughts.

Peaceee:peace::leaf:

any update? did the rest of the leaves grow? I had it happen to me on an ak47 seedling, never did grow leaves, and when i pulled it only a tap root, nothing else.

After a light fix don't worry. When I first started I was like freaking everyday. Growing is a thing you take your time with. Slow down. Starting another is a great idea if you have the room and can deal with the smell of 2 full plants. When they get good looking they get real bad smelling. Only told that to you so you don't start to many at once. After this stage you will love watching them grow. Almost as fun as the smoking.
