ok so here it is.
first off, my growth indicated by these pictures are in no means a result of adding the aquarium heater. these cakes have been growing in FC for almost 2 weeks.
i have also noticed that because it uses a coil resistance setup to generate heat, it tends to sizzle and bubble until it reaches temp.
this unit needs to be monitored closely. if it were to dry out the perlite surrounding itself, i could see a potential fire hazard.
keep the unit as submerged as possible to avoid this from occurring..
dont say i didnt tell ya.
anyhoo, enuff with the safety first shit... herre are what you all want o see and especially want to see from your cakes.....
the first picture is of the F strain. 2 cakes, one has been harvested and 24hr dunk and roll. thats the one on the bottom with no shrooms obviously.
the one above is just aboout ready for a full harvest.
the second picture is of the single hawiian cake. first flush. eh, its ok. you can see the heater at the top.
the next picture is of the Z strain. 2 cakes but this is the best one so far.
the next picture is of the other Z cake. lots of little ones but still growing.
i am hoping the increased temp will help the cakes that look like this.
also my humidity is throu the roof.
ok the next picture is of the heater itself.
think i gonna add more perlite and water to submerge further.
and the final picture is of the mushroomsi picked off as i was taking these pictures.. lol
the ones on the right are hawiaan and the ones on the left are Z.
i am making spore prints of each with the largest caps shown
p.s. not sure i ever mentioned it but i fan the FC asap!!!! i just peel back plastic wrap and fan with paper plate.
YEAH HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
"HOW YOU DOIN'?"
HOW YA LIKE ME NOW
sorry had to toot my own a little there.....
