I never got hooked on opioids bad, but my brother is recovering. He straight up shopped around for doctors for Kpins and Opioids back in highschool. He was real bad off on only pills from the age of 17-20, then it got worse. Met a doctor who used/ sold and he taught my brother how to shoot up. It sucked, because I'm a type 1 Diabetic and he would steal my insulin syringes.

Multiple close call ODs, multiple robbings, multiple tickets/ arrest. He got arrested with 80 xanax bars and 60 percs, plus a hand gun. Luckily our dad had recently did a good bit of work for the DA just before this so he never did any major time.

He finally decided he wanted treatment. I think it was the constant neglect from everyone. No one wanted to talk to him anymore because of how he always was... Never would remember shit, always zombed out, mood swings, no job, constantly stealing and lieing.

He did the methadone clinic for about a year now, and finally is to the point where he is weening himself off since they dont want to ($$). He's down to 6mgs, which is almost pointless to even be on from my understanding. He still goes to help with the anxiety and cold sweats.

I seriously would have never thought MY brother, would go through a drug problem that bad. I could seriously write a book about the past 6 years
wow! thanks for sharing..6mgs is significant..each mg is the equivalent of 50 mg morphine = 300mg of morphine every time he takes his meds..imo..one issue when you taper is "patience"..you drop it by .5 and stablilize..you take minimal valium for sleep and anxiety..you take gabapentin for nerve pain..you take wellbutrin to cut crave..this is the time where he needs to start doing it..imo

ya suboxone wds are worse than Perc IMO. i would use subs no longer than 2 weeks tops.
idc if your coming from a 200mg percoset/day habit 8-12 mgs/aday for the first 3 days should do it.
than go to 4-8 mgs from day 3-7 2-4 mgs from day 7-10 and 1-2 mgs until day 14. than jump off cold turkey
and take like ibuprofen and shit to ween off the chills and aches u will still have and than fight the good fight.

ive seen way to many ppl go down this route. i 100% believe in suboxone and its medical use but for months
is just dumb. lol

i thought he meant 6mgs of done, which is tiny
my bad..he should DEFINATELY be taking those things i mentioned above for success in jumping off..he must replace those things his brain is missing to feel well..of course immodium and maybe he can get the doctor to give him Tessalon to control vomiting.

I'm guessing you're confusing done with bupe and bupe is only about 30x morphine at low doses. After about 4-6mg each mg of bupe starts adding less than the one before it.

i agree with tapering down, but never cold turkey unless you dealing with butts! ween down to 1-2, then down even less. you would laugh if u see the pieces of sub i take...so tiny if you drop it you will lose it. i have taken 1/16th and gotten what i need...always always ween with opiates. what works for you wont for him...

Opiate survivor as well , typical fien i could not even tell you how many times I went totally thru DT's just to start up again

Most of the times I cleand up I did it cold turky style from H stamps , Any time I tryed subs The DT's just never seemed to stop, even MONTHS out

The last time I stoped 3 or 4 years ago ? I did it off sub's but I took Kratom after I knoked down to a insane low amount of sub . The kratom realy helped big time I have to recomend it to anyone trying to quit sub's from a light dose

How long does the mental detox take? After a week the physical WDs are gone but how long before you feel normal with energy and happy, not all blah, you know?

Been on oc15(lil green monsta's) and perc 10's since 2008 in one form or another because of damage ive done to my body that they apparently cant/wont fix with surgery. Stopped cause I thought I didn't need em anymore about 6 months ago went from 200 perc 10's a month to nada, thought id contracted ebola! I need to replace these opiate pain meds but im a 20 yr plus cannabis user (grew up near a reservation) and DO NOT WANT subox or methadone to replace this poison. If I could just enjoy my medical cannabis that be great but it cant touch some of my pain. I am still trying to find a way to gain back my normal energy levels and motivation for life after a few years of these meds im spent both physically, mentally ,and spiritually. Hopefully some health conscious person will develop a healthy way to recover PERMANANTLY.

that depends on how much you were taking and for how long..that is why it is critical to replace the energy and happiness for your success:

Gabapentin (nerve pain)
Valium (minimal amount for sleep)
Wellbutrin (cut crave, energy)
Lexapro (panic attacks)

Currently, I take Wellbutrin and Lexapro only, smoke as much weed as my heart desires and life is AWESOME!..Based upon my needs, I will take Lexapro and Wellbutrin for the rest of my life.

flower is not going to touch the kind of pain you describe..my previous post has the mix that I used to become a survivor..have you ever tried concentrates or medibles? chemdawg4 has a narcotic type feel closest to opioids..IMO..that "warmth" goes deep in order to work out your pain..which brings me to aches and pains..gabapentin is a big part of controlling this aspect of your survivorship..your body is fighting as hard as it can and retaliating against you because you are stopping..it had something it liked and now it's being stopped..you MUST work through it, exercise is key..walk the dog, ride a bike..go to the gym..you'll notice that everyday your "aches and pains" get better..
