Nice one, thanks dude. Kind words appreciated.

I've got some regular freebies here (killaqueen x blue jackhammer) from Sannie that I'm gonna make my first regular grow (only done fem grows till now). Lady Cane is one a long list of strains I want to try if I get on ok with reg seeds. The Silverfields sounds really exciting to me too. The SSH that Sannie and Eskobar have is the best in the world for consistent A+ phenotypes in my experience.

Some impressive developments on Sativa Jack. She has bud sites leading almost all the way down her stems - 4 main stems and other branches of almost equal length/height. I can see them filling in to make giant running 3ft long buds, especially with the estimated flowering time of 12 weeks (they're coming up to 6 weeks now). Very exciting. I will update with pictures some time in the next few days.

They're beautiful girls Bigby! I'm about to pop 4 Sannie Jack F7's. If you don't mind me asking, what were your temps and RH for veg and what do they average for flower? Thanks Bibgby and congrats on a great grow!

Thanks dude. Temps for veg were about 75-82 with a humidity of between 25% and 45%. Now I'm in flower the temps are averaging slightly higher actually, about 78-84, with a humidity equally too high at between 40% and 65% and occasional spikes as high as 80% (though I am able to check them as soon as I notice them - trying to stop them happening as much as I can).

I did some thinning out today of lower fan leaves and other leaves that were inhibiting air flow. Coming up to that important point in the grow now.

Some pictures of all the girls from today, day 46 of 12/12. I did some thinning out of the lower leaves to aid air flow, and added stakes to all the girls except Shiva Shack. Both Jack's have long running buds almost the entire length of the branches, be very interesting to see how they fill in. Both the Shacks have huge colas - one with a bottle of cola for scale. Amazing smells on all the girls; 'Sativa Jack' is over ripe lemon haze with floral notes, 'Carry On Jack' is straight over ripe lemon haze minus the floral notes but with slight hashy notes, 'Tall Hazey Shack' smells like tropical punch haze (my favourite so far), and 'Shiva Shack' is starting to smell like some serious cheesy skunk with just a hint of haze.

Looking good bro....Sannie the Great never lets us down on genetics does he ?

For sure. Always quality.

I'm wanting to find a kushy strain in fem, which seems to be the only thing he lacks somewhat. I've got some Extrema here, about to crack one to run alongside my next lot of Shacks and Jacks. Hoping to find the stretchy ChemD pheno which sounds pretty kushy. I would like to run the 'Mad Kush' from the breeders choice section too, hopefully that will come back in stock.

Disappointed to report some bud rot on the top cola of Shiva Shack. I spotted it early, just one loose sugar leaf which gave it away. Looks to only be a tiny area affected, but I took off the entire top to be safe. I will increase air flow as much as I can. My intention now is to pull Shiva Shack early, probably 8 weeks (7 weeks today) - this will hopefully save as much of her as possible, and enable me to properly increase the air flow to hopefully prevent any more rot on the other girls. Carry On Jack looks a little weak compared to the others, so I will prepare to take her early too - hopefully not before 9 weeks though.

I'll try and snap a couple of shots of the bud rot, and post them on here.

There wasn't that much affected. Managed to save a fair bit of the section I cut off. Some huge calyx's, I actually had to squeeze them to check if they had seeds in them (there weren't) - which bodes well for the early harvest, only about 5% cloudy trichs right now though, maybe less.

Just be careful BIGBY.

I've gone through a botrytis epsisode a few years ago.

I had a small amount on one cola just like you.

Within 5 days it spread and I lost around 2-3oz In total.

Dehumidifier was my next purchase after that.

I found that with bushy girls I was getting micro-climates forming between leaf surfaces which became a breeding ground for bud rot.

I've had a fair bit of experience with bud rot. Certain weather conditions and I simply can't do anything about my humidity (I'm not getting a home AC, cannot justify it) - and we've had those conditions for nearly two weeks now. Just cunty timing really. Got a dehumidifier in there, just couldn't have the fan oscillating due to the area being so full up. I have now readjusted everything so the fan is oscillating and properly blowing across all the plants. The structure of all the other girls is better to prevent it, but the buds on Tall Hazey Shack are going to be big and super dense - and I'm a little worried about Carry On Jack (COJ). I'll just remain hyper vigilant from here on in - ready to take the girls at a moments notice. Shiva Shack looks like she will be ok now, hopefully COJ will be good to smoke if pulled pretty soon too.

Praying for some dry northerly winds! Pretty rare in a UK summer.

I remember reading that thread. Was horrible to watch. Taught me a lot though - wisdom which I neglected here and have paid for. I should have got the fan blowing across the plants before now, as soon as I noticed the humidity spikes into the danger zone. I didn't act and paid for it. Hopefully my awareness of this and increased vigilance will mean I don't pay with too much yield.

Cheers Jon! :-)

Looks like that buds close to done anyway!
cut out the mold/rot and it can be used as a test smoke.
My thoughts as well. Great minds and all that. Reckon I only lost 15% of the bit I cut off - the rest all looks smokeable and is drying now (will give a good idea of how the rest of the plant will be when harvested slightly early).

I am very surprised at how far along the Shiva Shack is for 7 weeks of 12/12. All the reports I have seen on Shackzilla suggest a 10 week minimum. The other one looks like being done before 10 weeks too.

I've got a nasty suspicion that the picture with the coke bottle in it is what caused the bud rot. I remember touching the bottle on to the 'cola', and then I forgot to wipe off any moisture. With the high humidity that could have tipped the balance. Silly. Ah well, doesn't look like any more sites of it (yet, fingers crossed).

I have to deal with that same issue bro. My growroom is in my old city basement. The sad thing is, it effects my biggest buds because they manifest deep inside them. I've been cringing every time my big tops swell up real big and shame is, thats what we want !! What a bitch huh..? I mean, it never effects my smaller buds, just the biggest heaviest ones and that sucks. Some of it is my fault since I dont have the proper exiting ventilation. I dont have a scrubber and I cant dare blow it outside where I'm at. I need to get one and I think that would probably fix or help that problem a good deal. I should have done it by now, its a shame to lose even one big phat boy to that nasty smelling rot. Talk about ruining the party, bud rot sure does.

I germinated an Extrema fem (ChemDog x Herijuana) 3 days ago. Big long tap root today and it has been planted in bio bizz all mix in a small cup pot. I popped three Shackzilla in to germinate in paper towel today - my hope being that they all germinate and make up the remainder of my next flower run. They will be vegged in my veg area until the other's are finished flowering, then switched to the tent for a week or two of 400W Metal Halide before I flower them.

I'm at week 7.5 of my current flower run, looks like these current girls will be done quicker than I was expecting, certainly all done by week 11. I want the next lot to have at least 6 weeks veg. I will use this thread to document everything. :-)
