Little bit of spot the penis on Sativa Jack, but with no other girls for her to spray over I'm gonna let her go, shouldn't be many seeds with them appearing this late (will clean down with bleach before putting the next lot in). Day 76 today, some pictures. I watered her with 10 litres of plain water, and then 10 litres containing 5ml 'bloom cal/mag' 10ml 'BioBizz Bloom' and 5ml of 'Alg-A-Mic'. I think she should comfortably go another week, to 12 weeks of 12/12. Will keep my eye on her though. Part of my decision to push her is based on conditions becoming perfect, with humidity around 20%. If this goes up high again I may chop early, but if it stays like it is now I'm going for 100% cloudy. Currently at about 75% cloudy 25% clear.

Sativa Jack is stratospherically strong sativa. All up with no stone at all. Almost too much at times, proper physical waves of wobbly giggliness which would probably floor people with no tolerance into a palpitating panic monster. Strange smell to the ground up bud, perfumey citrus is close - but the smell burnt is totally different, straight old skool sativa smell (not smelt anything quite like it in decades) with hints of pine and good thai stick. Scents up the room for hours. Easily my favourite effect yet of all the strains I've grown - pure anti depressant power with creativity and music enhancement. 9.5/10 for the effect. Can only go to 7/10 on looks and smell though, just because she is that bit odd. The tall Shackzilla pheno is straight up 9/10 for looks and smell so maybe this makes it look worse. But like I say, the effect of the Sativa Jack is amazing, almost perfect.

Thanks Jon. Nice one.

I was intending on keeping them in the 20 litre pots for the rest of the grow actually. The Sugar Punch I'm just finishing up did ok without getting root bound, and the Kolossus which got a similar 6 weeks veg with training is going great. I haven't ever tried transplanting from anything larger than about a 3 litre, and that was a challenge. I think I would rather keep veg times lower than have to ever do it to be honest.

I will likely follow your advice with regard to the HID though. Give them a week of 18/6 under a 400w MH (or maybe start at 18/6 then drop it down by 30 mins a day), then leave that in for the first 2 weeks of 12/12. I've got some CFL's in both spectrums too, and will dot a few around once they take on their flowering shapes.
I cant wait for sugar punch to be back in stock. Looks like you might have got the last batch. Its a great strain from sannie

Another little technique I use is to attach weights to the end of pipe cleaners, and use these to weigh down tops. One of the Shacks had a stretchy side branch that was stretching higher than all the others, straight up too which is no use. I therefore bent it down, attached the pipe cleaner with a little battery as the weight, and lowered the branch into the space in the centre of the tent. After 24 hours it had adapted to the weight and had bent back to the light. The difference now being that the branch is horizontal, with multiple bud sites all receiving extra light - plus I've fully optimised my space. All for minimal expense and 2 mins of my time.

If you dont have a lot of money fishing line with some weights work wonders.

Just waked and baked with 4 day drying Carry On Jack. My first try of Jack Herer. My first thoughts. This is super strong sativa. Stronger than the Shack and the Sugar Punch. It's got the stoney bottom end like the SP (though not quite as dragged out as with the SP), and a mad crazy behind the eyes intense head high that is a way stronger sativa effect than any of the SP I grew. Looking forward to looking for the ceiling with this strain as I feel it might not have one. Certainly full hallucination potential. It feels quite smooth through the bong, so I'll grind up 1.5g at some point and see how much I can hit, then put the headphones on and head out into the countryside. :-) Sativa Jack could potentially be ridiculous! Dangerous for occasional smokers! LOL Here's hoping!
That's pretty god damn high praise in my estimation.

Hey Bigby, just read your thread as Im seeing which two strains to get: The Jack and Killing Fields, or the Jack and Sugar Punch. What would you do? Im also crazy for the good sativa effect! What do you think caused for the bananas? Unstable stuff, or problems somewhere in the growing? Really nice thread, hope you still have some Sativa Jack left!

Bigby hasn't been around for a long time, don't expect a reply from him.

I'd go for the KF and SP. The Jack takes rather long. Those are probably Sannie's 3 best and you can't really make a wrong choice. I've seen grows of all of them in sannie's dutch forum and grown the SP myself.

Thanks for the heads up, Sativied! Then I might as well ask you about the SP here, since the thread is rather finished and dead: What kind of phenos should I look for in the SP, or which ones have you found? I really want to go with his Jack, that is an absolute must. Was thinking about only buying 10-20 of those fem Jack beans and just hope for 2-3 amazing keepers. But tell me more about the SP! :=)

I had 5 SP plants of which one was a more indica-dom pheno and the rest haze phenos. There are also purple phenos, never smoked one of those though. The haze pheno (from the SSH parent) is imo the better pheno.

@Bigby loved reading your smoke reports there, i have some Sannies Jack feminized about 6 weeks into flower
just wondering about your harvest times, did you harvest both phenos around 10% amber? I would love to get the same effect you got, thanks man
