Ok so, let's talk about that girl. That is Vanilla Tart, she is a 50/50 hybrid bred by Subcool. I've kept her for over 2 years now. Clones are taken before moving to flower and veged until the flower room opens up again. Suggested flower time is 56 to 60 days. My son also wants to tell me to let them go a little longer so I was trying to let her go as long as possible. That was right at 8 weeks after seeing the first true flowers (not preflower). My son said that the one time he grew her he let her go fo 10 weeks. Just wasn't happening for meHow many weeks of flower was that?
Sounds like it’s never going to happen for you. My dad always thought he knew better than me too. No big deal. Someday let your ego wall down and listen to others. Sounds like the son has already surpassed the father.Ok so, let's talk about that girl. That is Vanilla Tart, she is a 50/50 hybrid bred by Subcool. I've kept her for over 2 years now. First of all don't have brown leaves work on keeping your plants healthy and green til the end. Two those had a long ass time to go. More then likely slowed due to be unhealthy af.How much longer should I have let it go?

It was a pain in the butt getting all those dry brown leaves out of there.
It likley wouldnt calibrate because the solution you used wasn't good to calibrate it with.Maybe I am.
Maybe it's been a bad day.
I'm not saying Bluelab isn't good. I'm just saying the one I was gifted wouldn't calibrate. It could have been mishandled before I got it. It could have been defective. Doesn't matter, for me to spend that kind of money I'm going need to be working in the field not just a hobbyist like I am now.
That’s some seriously crispy leaves. How much longer should I have let it go?

This will also be the quickest phenotype they found out of ALL the phenotypes that were expressed.Suggested flower time is 56 to 60 days.
Winner WinnerAs far as EC goes, nothing is more fun than a truncheon. I use a cheap PPM meter for exact numbers sometimes, but it doesn't make me feel like a techno-wizard like with the truncheon.
You should be using plain water between feedings with soil. If you’re not that could be your issue. Sometimes I would water 2-3 times before feeding again. After watching the video what I get is stop feeding until the ppm drops feed again then wait for another significant drop before feeding again.
That is the plan for now.
Yep. The truncheon is accurate, but only has 50 PPM point intervals. Like I said, I still use my crappy PPM meter if I want to know exact numbers. That's usually unnecessary though.@lusidghost Have you ran the the truncheon against cheap TDS/EC meters to see how accurate they are? (the cheap meters)
But they read close?Yep. The truncheon is accurate, but only has 50 PPM point intervals. Like I said, I still use my crappy PPM meter if I want to know exact numbers. That's usually unnecessary though.
I like how the bulb continues to flash for a few seconds so that you can bring it up to look at without hitting a "hold" button or sticking your head into the res.
Accurate enough I guess. It's hard to tell without having actual digital numbers, but when they both hit 600 or 650 PPMs they both say the same thing. But they read close?
Thanks for the info!...I may buy one of these if they last. I spend about the same amount of $ every run for packs of cheap meters.Accurate enough I guess. It's hard to tell without having actual digital numbers, but when they both hit 600 or 650 PPMs they both say the same thing.
To me all of those crispy brown leaves look like a sign of botrytis, not maturity. You can tell because of all the healthy green leaves around the crispy ones. How much longer should I have let it go?

I've had mine for a few years now and haven't needed to change the batteries yet. I don't even remember what kind or how many it takes.... also, how's the battery life?
Just keep in mind the "exact number" it displays is likely off by far more than than the truncheon. Not unlike a $15 pH meter which displays to the hundredths.Yep.
