So what my friends got is 2 18 gallon rubbermaids stacked. My friend cut out the bottom of one and a hole in the lid of the other and connected them with duct tape. Simple. lined the inside with cardboard, to ensure that it's light proof, and lined the entire thing with a mylar survival blanket my friend had laying around. My friend then made a rectangular light trap box and fitted a pc fan inside of there wired to an adapter for intake. Then, cut a hole in the bottom of the bottom rubbermaid as to not be seen and to suck in the cold air from the floor and cut a hole in the bottom of the light trap, lined the holes up and sealed up the cracks for better suction. My friend had only 4 13 watt 5000k cfl's and 2 splitters with 2 extension cords attached that went to a power strip all inside for the entire vegetative stage. There are 8 beauties that have now been going for 65 days. It's amazing how little light they need. My friend just got 4 26 w 2700k cfl's because it is almost time to switch to flowering. Which is what the finished product is in these pictures. It is my friends first in-door grow and it was a really successful experiment thus far. All that needs to be done is to mount a decent fan and filter and will be very pleased with the outcome of this setup. Any recommendations or tips would be awesome.
This was just an experiment using anything my friend could find laying around. This was a zero $ project besides the 8$ worth of 2700k's just purchased for flowering. This was not made for maximum yield. This was just to see the reaction and get a bit of sweetness at the end. This is them at 65 days with only 4 13 watt 5000k cfl's. Hope you dig the setup/results!
