Royal Queen Seeds. F1 strains worth it?

I notice in my seeds I get very different characteristics in the plants. Like right now I have two jack herer autoflowers and one is robust and the other is seriously retarded. So from my perspective if the seeds all yield plants that are the same, which is what RQS is touting, that is a significant differentiating trait.

eta to @GeneralTso1205 - there are lots of reliable seed companies out there. RQS is well respected. I use seedsman myself. But you don't need to pay extra for the F1 strains - that seems to me to be geared more towards larger growers. And as to what to grow - if you are just starting I'd suggest some of the classic strains because there is a lot of history w/ them. White widow; Bruce Banner; Northern Lights; Gorilla Glue ; sour diesel;

(my personal favorite is Bruce Banner - very much a morning smoke tho)

Idk what they're touting, but crossing two unrelated strains doesn't produce homogenous offspring.

Look up punnett squares to see what I mean
In reply to your edit, those aren't the actual classic strains, it's deceptive marketing.

If it has to be from rqs id say try there kali dog it is pretty good they got a few decent ones but thay stood out to me the most mind you thats a photo is it auto only your after tho?
I started with autos 1st because I put them in the dirt thinking, I'm gonna do somthing to kill these I just don't know what will yet. So I'm reaching out asking about seeds cause it feels like there's 100000000 strains out there. I've never grown a photo but feel I'm ready now.

Photos are easier mate u make a mistake with em most of the time it will recover just cost you a lil time unlike with autos there on a fixed time line so better to grow em perfect no do overs with em so if ya done them before honestly you will find photos easy

The problem with punnet squares and mendelian genetics is the peas he used were super inbred or it doesnt work some folk tried to replicate his work with other pea varieties that were less inbred and couldn't get the same results its good to help explain genetics and cannabis breeding a bit but same again its only applicable in practice so much just remember that as nothing in cannabis is that true breeding for as many traits the way other plants ibl's are and even then it depends

I agree, although I didn't know those details. I'm using the concept to illustrate why an f1 won't have uniform offspring

Its down to genetics and skill and environment and use big pots bud some autos can be bigger some smaller it varies i like em for outside i wouldnt run them inside personally each to there own with that tho to me id rather grow a photo in its place there more potent and flexible/easy plus tbh its what i started with the first autos were not worth growing the ones today are a bit better of course suppose i am a bit set in my ways you can still bonsai photos if you like as well

Autos are great indoors for the veg tent while you wait to sex plants and clone.

I don't do it, but I may someday.

Agreed That be the only time i would if i start to keep mums id happily throw em in to fill space as it stands now i go from seed everytime like i always have i like the lottery aspect and seeing everything rather than just one side to a strain i love popping seeds cuts are cool but they have there down sides too
