next time I'm going to veg under the 600w MH and then go to a 1000w MH.... going to the 1000w HPS the last week of veg did not work in my favor....these thing are tall...... I've got a lot of watts....but they're tall...... time to start tying up side branches...

2 Bubblelicious have gone HERMIE!!!! not tons of sacks, but some are OPENED!!! Inspected the other 6 plants, they seem to be free of sacks.... So now it's just a waiting game to see if they were pollinated....what would you do with the 2 that were?

7-28-10 (Flowering Day 25)

A few updates, and some pictures.

First, the 2 plants that I reported to have went hermie: Bubblelicious #1 and Bubblelicious #2. Bubblelicious #2, had pollen sacks everywhere... EXCEPT the COLA growth. So removed all side branches, fan leaves....EVERYTHING except the cola. It has now been in general population for 4 days now and all is well, I check it daily for pollen sacks, and I see nothing. Moving on 2 Bubblelicious 2, well, I think after I found out the #1 went hermie, I was so baked, that I might have imagined pollen sacks on #2, because after I removed it from general population when I first reported the hermies, I then inspected...and inspected, and inspected..NOT ONE POLLEN SACK. So, it is now back in general population. The others have great new white growth, no browning or receding, which would be indicative of pollination. Also, trichome production is really picking up, spreading down to the tips of the fan leaves on some spots.

Next, I've noticed more burning leaves during this grow than ever before. The only 3 things that have changed, are more light, Fox Farm Solubles, and Fox Farm Ocean Forest....Other than that, I'm growing the way I've always done it. I'm now out of the Beastie Bloomz part of the schedule, Monday begins OPEN SESAME, so we'll see how that goes, I might back off to half strength....

I've also started to tie up side branches to bring them closer to the main stem (center area)...thus reducing the footprint and, increased light penetration and increasing light efficiency.... I really liked how that worked on my last grow....took middle stem side branches and tied them up so there were just barely beneath the top stem side branches...

Thanks so much!! I'm guessing about 3.5oz per plant...we'll see.... who are the fools voting for 15-20oz? even at 20oz, that's just a bit over 2oz per plant... Crazy...
