honestly never thought of that...it may be an old habit but its definitely a good habit, the less eyebrows raised the better IMO

Old habits alright. Talked to my ex-dealer about this recently, who has been growing for 8 years and with multiple grows ops at the same time, and he told me he has never ran a schedule other than from 6AM-6PM.

im running 7am-7pm...but only got 600W going, and i live in the sticks so in the winter its a little more acceptable to have your bill jump up...

got the bill the other day...a month of flowering and my bill was only $162...dont know what to compare that to because in all honesty, im a lazy stoner and i just fork over money to my chick and she pays the bills, but we were both please to say the least

definitely gonna switch to 7pm-7am when i go vert this next go round...might scrap the octagon and rebuild an almost exact replica of this exact grow (using Flo's guide), but inside a 5x10x7 tent

Also I think more people run lights at night because its easier to control heat when it is cooler.

ya electricity in cali is much more expensive.. and most places that i have lived charge more during peak hours which is usually mid day and later in the evening, so running the lights at night saves you money in more ways than one.

I have always run my lights at night due to my sleeping habits, but i had a friend who was growing and the electric guy actually knocked on his front door and said you know your meter is running extremely fast? has your bill jumped or noticed anything different? (he was wondering if there was a line loosing power or something) and he just played it cool and said he had just moved all of his mainframes for his internet biz from his office to his house while he relocates.. donno how he came up with it LOL but the end of the cycle he changed to running at night and never looked back

and i know what ya mean funk LOL i couldnt pay a bill on time for the life of me if it wasnt for my girl.. i bring in the money and she knows how to spend it haha isnt that how they all are?

and no, i do not take my own cuttings due to plant numbers... and due to the fact i havent found anything till this run that i had any interest in. i know a few peeps that have good quality clones and they hook it up.. got all my trainwreck and sour d for 5 bux a pop... i love california!

i'm a 8 to 8 guy mysef,lol.my bill is always high, i run 2-600s and a 250M and a 5 bedroom house to keep up. runs 300 to 400 a month.ns. lookin buds flogro,and plenty, right on bro. dont give an inch , you use all your space smart. great job bud, i know someone going to best buy nex month,lol.

i believe electricity is more expensive during the day .... my lights go off at 7am in both my rooms... veg room turns on at 2pm (300watts) flower room turns on at 7pm (400 watts)raised my bill about 30-40 per month

bill jumped from about $40 to $160...considerable jump for 1 600W

as Flo stated...electricity's a lil pricey in Cali

hell ya especially where i live right on the coast.. my bill in a 2 bedroom apt is about 400 dollars a month LOL and i dont even have AC!!

and raider, as much as i would love to go buy up best buy, in these economic times i will be hoarding gold and silver when the gravy train comes in.. i may go buy myself a badass m4 carbine as well.

yea i done some of that last year , bought large mens gold bracelet for 2,000 and weighed 108 grams , bought a heavy chain to ,i dont wear it much , jus neat having ,gold jumped up later and that same bracelet near doubled in price,so i can dig it.

sup L.. bugs are pretty much history.. i got rid of the thrips and there are some aphids flying around but they get on the buds and its game over lol so i go in there and flick them off from time to time..

only thing is i am wondering about my girls in soil they seem to have stalled out, but i guess they do tend to stall around week 4 and make the switch to bud production bud damnit i wanna see em swell!! still smells like a skunks funky ass in there which i cannot complain about LOL
