There's an epidemic of Butthurt Syndrome making it's way from the midwest down to the deep south.
Symptoms Include- Bitchiness, Irrational Thinking, Intense Anal Clenching, Increased Scotch Consumption.
Remedy- Smoke a joint, sit back, and shut the fuck up.
Mitt Romney made a campaign of pandering to old white men. Time and again he made it clear that he had no interest in representing anyone else.
Look at who he lists as groups at odds with his agenda; women, youngpeople, minorities. That is a HUGE cross section of society, how can someone possibly hope to represent a nation that they only consider half of?
If the republican party is serious about evolving, they will have to stop catering to rich southern religo-racists. They need to embrace the fact that this nation is multi-cultural and does not adhere to any set moral code, nor will it tolerate people who employ scaretactics to pit one group against another. That FOX News report about the "black panther takeover" of Philadelphia polling places is a prime example, STOP TRYING TO MAKE A BLACKMAN BOGEYMAN. Time and again, we are confronted with this very hand-infront-of-mouth racist BS on network news and in popular culture and it's pretty sad how transparent it is.
Honestly, we should just eliminate both parties. Politicians should run individually, on their own merits. No hiding behind the party, no standing on the soapbox. If you are fit to lead, you should at least be fit to run on the strength of your character and abilities.
