You can talent hunt Rush's there are plenty around, sure he had talent, but others do too, he also had writers and a staff who produced the narratives, it just looked like he was doing it all on his own. Donald ain't unique either, many sociopaths can blow the dog whistle through a bullhorn, but most are more sensible of future consequences. Both these clowns are one in a million, not one in a billion.

The republicans are now auto selecting sociopaths for leadership positions, because a sociopath is the only kind of personality the base will accept.

Actually, he originally did it on his own and carved out a niche of his own in the late 80s and early nineties.

He was sort of fizzling in the Bush years after tremendous growth during the Clinton years. Shit, I think he came up with the whole concept of Clinton's as murderers (being denied the ability of criticizing Bill for being a rapist due to the large number of rapists in the Republican party - that sort of brazzenness had to wait until the Republican base re-aligned to consist of very dumb people).

But then America elected a black man which ended up stoking the racist fires and led to his show exploding. You can't blame him for having writers though - its hard to come up with original material when you are that high on narcotics.

Don't underestimate his impact. Much of the soulless worldview of what is now the Republican party is in large part due to him.

Glad the fucker is dead, but we would not have the level of white supremacy and hate that we have today without him. We might have continued to develop as a normal society if it weren't for him.

This is what the republican party has become since Obama and Trump polarized the electorate, compromise was possible as long as racists permeated both parties and black Americans were excluded. Now minorities are strong within the democratic party and the republicans have been distilled down to their base essence, there is no going back from this, the die has been cast.

Now this is Mitt in Mormon land, I dunno if the audience is home town, or if clowns were bused in. It's a good thing Rush is dead, I dunno if he could have kept up with the crazy and the descent into madness. Clearly the situation has gotten away from the party establishment and the lunatics are now running the asylum. Jesus help us all if they should every gain power again.

Of course, it was the result that counted, not so much the cause, it was just waiting for the spark. Obama drove the racists into the republican party, overwhelming the merely greed driven and moderate republicans. Trump forced anybody with morals and brains to leave the party, though the trend of expelling RINOs was well under way before Trump. The republican party played with fire for the sake of power and it started a long time ago, they are now in the process of self immolation. All Obama did was be black and an honest hard working competent president, but being black was too much for many white people in America.

Trump did reveal how many deeply racist people there are in America though, Cheeto Jesus did separate the sheep from the goats.

Or at least a upper bound range of 22% of our population being racist.

Because I still say people can not be racist and vote for Trump when they can convince themselves of the big lies like that the 'libs' murder and eat babies. Little things like pollution and global warming roll off into la-la land because the apocalypse is always just around the corner.

It gets hard for me to keep the flavors straight.

I still remember right around kindergarten having my new step mom's friend and her kid stop by to talk to me about how only about 200k or so people were going to actually get to live in heaven.

I had a little bit weird of a childhood.

i've been wanting to re-binge it for some reason started back on GOT (good memories Obama years) i still have Trailer Park Boys (never seen but I love Bubbles and Ricky) + South Park (i've only caught the random episode). when i read the description i wasn't sure i was going to be interested but i had a huge crush on Justin Theroux at that time, so i wanted to watch once or twice but the storyline hooked me. i'd like to discuss it with you once your done. it came to it's natural conclusion if you think about- please ask your wife not to give the ending away.

i guess i'm going to watch it again to refresh it wasn't that many seasons.

I am not sure if she ever finished it, she was watching back when they were on air.

South Park is cool because you start way back in the Clinton years and they hit on basically everything since.

I really like HBO's Detective something, the one with Matthew McConnehe and Woody from Cheers. And the last season they did too was good. The one in the middle was ok, but I think I was let down because I was hoping for one like the first.

then watch it together the end will blow your mind like i said natural conclusion if you thought about; the writer/writers were magnificent.

i'm sure your wife told you it's not religious but has religion in it (some weird cult that wears white) anyway it's about The Rapture. in this case no one flew away to heaven- they just simply disappeared. some whole families leaving behind one person some with just one person disappearing. you didn't have to be religious for this to happen it was random. now you have The Leftovers, what happens to the people that are left; what they think about and how they try to figure it out. the guilt they suffer never being able to say goodbye. the most intriguing conclusion. would love to talk about with higher level thought process.
