Go with a 600. If you go with a enclosed hood should have a heat issue. I took my hose on my light to use that heat to heat my box.

the 600w has better lumens rating, I know that and I can get it closer, my goal is to run 4, 5 gallon pots sog style under it in that box but I hate to even have my box near 80 degrees I live in a hot/humid state so don't want it near 90's, thinking dimmable just incase 600 is too hot at which point id do 2 in 5 gallons.
my current box will be veg tent for clones and mothers

Yeah I run a Lumetek dimmable 600 big difference in heat from a 600 to the 400 setting. The other night I forgot it was on 400 and my temps were in the 50's. So I hurried and put a heater in there. Well the next day I looked and said shit thats why its on 400. Well I changed it to 600 and my box runs like 75`.

Just got mine. Ordered DNA Exodus Kush and lemon OG Kush, reserva priv- sour diesel, Bomb seeds THC bomb and blimburn orient auto. Only freebie I didn't get was the lighter/grinder/pen. But loved the freebies regardless! Can't wait for current bitch to finish so that I can fill it with some fine ladies.
