Hey there Smelly! What was your fert. ratios for your KK while in veg? Look at my KK (day 23,24) and tell me if you think it is lacking phosphorus or potassium. I have red/purple fan leaf stems, they feel like paper, and they are drooping/folding. I gave it some bloom nutes anyway (5-30-30), but did yours seem to want more nutrients than you thought it needed? Help is greatly appreciated.

I'll check it out later tonight when I get back home, to answer your question quickly though. Yes she seems to take nutes very well, she actually gets very droopy on me if I let her go more than 2 days without water and thats in a 5 gal bucket!

I also increased the nute intake slightly and she still seems to be doing great with no sighns of nute burn.

I had to flush my KK. I had phosphorus lockout...I think. I don't know how people test their soil ph, but I took a soil sample and mixed it with ph 7 water. I ran it through a coffee filter and used the drops in the water. It isn't the most accurate, but the ph was in the 8.0-8.5 range. I think the guano and mycorrhizae raise the ph as bacteria tend to do so. The leaves felt like paper, stems were red, and the same leaves were drooping and curling down. I treated with Phosphorus and it looked worse as soon as I did it. I flushed the plant with some Culligan water and the leaves got their texture back as soon as I did. Now, maybe, the rest of the plant will get it's liveliness back. I did screw up by not checking my ph as often as I should and by not watering with plain ph balanced water as you recommended in my thread. I am gonna buy some ph down tomorrow. I know cannabis is resilient, but I don't wanna screw this up. It's too dank.

Good stuff catching it early though!! I did the same thing thats why I know lol.. Keep it between 6.5 and 7, that thing will bounce back with the quickness! I actually underwatered my KK 1 time and it was BAD! I lost like 4 fan leaves instantly but it bounced right back. Its a resilient little girl but there picky about there ph :)

And for future reference when you water your girls if you want to test the soil just catch some of the runoff and test that.

well, it was suppose to say kushwreck, but i was a little drunk and excited to see some action finally, LoL. here are the genetics on trainwreck. the kandy kush is a cross between OG kush (ocean grown) from the west coast and a 4th generation trainwreck, also from the west coast. and you are right, it was clone strain.

damn smelly im so jealous my kk is sooo scraggly. Seems like DNA stuff might be slow starters looking at my 2 lemon skunks and 1 kk. Compared to greenhouse and bagseed all under 400 w mh

Well Smelly, I fixed the problem. I went in there this morning to change my light to HPS and cycle to 12/12 and the KK was standing tall and proud again. What a difference a flush makes. I still need to get the ph lower before everything is fixed, but at least the ph is not toxic anymore! I am getting some ph down after class tomorrow. I found out that bacteria in mycorrhizae and it's effect on the soil causes the ph to rise, almost uncontrollably. The flush got the ph down to neutral, but I need it lower so I can add nutes again for the bloom cycle.

Good to hear free, hopefully you can keep the ph under control now and wont have anymore issues :) I've read that 6.8 is the perfect level to absorb the most nutrients btw.. I try to shoot for 6.5-6.8..

This is just a random, crazy idea of mine but you guys tell me what you think. I've been advise that my girl would do better in flower in a 5 gallon bucket as opposed to the 3 gallon pots she's in now. You know, making plenty of room for the roots and what not. Instead of transplanting to a bigger pot, what if I filled the bottom of the existing pot with lots of small holes then let the roots grow outta the pot down into this bubbleponics setup I have. Am I crazy or could this be a good or at least interesting idea. Here are a couple pics of what I had in mind. If this is a dumbass idea please tell me so, but I can't see y it wouldn't work. I also know that just b/c something works doesn't mean that it works well. I'd love some feedback.
