Looking great man. I have such high hopes for that KK.
Thanks Boonierat, me too :) I'm getting a very good feeling that she's going to be a healthy yield!! You can see in the first pic her branches are already getting top heavy.

Honestly bro I can't really say because I vegged her by herself and I was flowering my wonderwoman at the time so it flew by.. If I had to guess I would say that she probably did start kind of slow compared to some other strains I've grown but she took off once she got going.

Thanks brotha, Its a good feeling flipping that switch :)

I'm wondering how long this KK is going to keep pushing white hairs for, I know its still has a while I'm just curious. This is the first "long" flowering strain I've grown.

check out the pics of my KK veging in my grow thread. Its been growing like a beast since it sprouted. I started my LST on her today. Nothing slow about my KK.

I recently got some great adivce from a few members on here at RIU to hold up the buds that are starting to get top heavy. Basically what I'm going to do is use a few bamboo stick that are roughly 2ft tall "as tall as KK" and tie the branches off to the bamboo so she doesn't have to put that much more energy into holding the buds up.

I'll post pics up when I do it, probably over the weekend.:leaf:

Hey Smelly, That's what i did for my outdoor grow this past summer. It worked great against the rain and wind. The buds were so heavy on thier own nevermind the wet rain and high winds near harvest. I put them in about 3" away from the stalk. i was afraid of piercing the root ball.(even though George Servantez says that is a good thing) of coarse i was using a 1" x 1" stake(these plants were outdoor and HUGE) but it worked awesome to tie all the branches to and kept them supported perfectly! plus it was a great handle to carry them by when i harvested!

Good luck! I look forward to seeing some pics.

BTW my WW is looking very comfortable in the 12/12 light cycle(only been 9 days) but she is loving it!

Thanks Stoney, I should be hitting it up tomorrow I just need to go get some bamboo or find some lol.. Or if I can just find stakes laying around I might just use those, I think I might have some 1x1 stakes actually :) Thanks for the tips, I'm looking forward to seeing this girl produce some nice buds!!

Oh and that WW will really start to suprise you in a few more weeks:weed:

If you get crafty, you can take a hanger and bend it into a stake. Just thought I'd offer up a DIY option. A buddy of mine also reccomends tying the colas upward rather than staking into the soil and possibly damaging root structure.

Not a bad idea with the hanger :)

I was concerned about disturbing or damaging the roots but a couple people said it wouldn't hurt it so I probably wont stress it..

Just to be safe I'm probably going to use 2 stakes and put them toward the outer rim of the bucket to help avoid tearing up the roots to much.. I'll probably be doing it tomorrow so I'll get some more pics up soon:)

rasta said his 1024 medical was gettin heavy buds, so i told him to use the stakes and he put them right into the soil and didnt have any problems. heres a pic of ed rosenthol's plant with stakes, if he does it, i'd say its safe to do.

That's the safest way, i like to drill holes in my 5gal home-depot buckets on the rim and the bamboo sticks fit perfectly at an angle. Also, I feel if you stick them in the dirt they have a tendency of moving, you won't really damage the roots unless you do something drastic, a little stick won't do shit to a big rootball. Either way, it's good when you have to use stakes to hold up your nugs ;)

Good to know others are doing it with no problems, This is just something I overlooked but I'm happy I've got you guys to give me ideas :)

I was actually thinking of something similar to that earlier :) maybe next time I'll right something up before hand and plan ahead! Then again I'll probably just throw up a screen next time and give scrog a try seeing its almost the same idea. I'm actually quite happy to have this problem haha.. +Rep for the help and suggestions, thanks!
