Removing hps and just keep led final 2 weeks

Hello. I am in the final few weeks. I am completely happy with the plants. One jack flash is a little low on yield but the quality is spot on and same as 1 of my gorilla glue is the same. I am currently using a 600w hps and a mars hydro not too sure which model. On the lesser jack flash i have noticed a few bits of light burn from the hps and it cant be moved any higher. I am tempted to remove it completely and replace with other leds i have laying around? Will these be sufficient for the final few weeks? Im sure its just ripening up now 100% milky 60% orange hairs on the flash. Any advice will be appreciated

It really depends on what you plan to replace it with. Have any brands or model names for us to look up?

However i can get hold of 1-2 spider farmers in two days when my mate chops. I think all the swelling is now done, just ripening

If either are full spectrum rather than blurple I would switch. Definitely switch if you're getting burnt buds at the top. Unburnt blurple bud vs crispy HPS buds? I know which I would choose.

We need to stop referring to these wildly inaccurate LED wattages as such. Find out what the power draw from the wall is on both of your fixture models. They are very likely closer to 100w-200w each.

You're absolutely right theoretical figures mean nothing, wattage from the wall does.

If ya getting burnt tips off 600 an ya cannot move light higher , how can ya hang 1800 led . Ya cannot do it without bleaching ya bud .
Tie some string around highest buds and tie the other end to a pole or whatever you can tie it too . Hope that sorts things out for ya
 
I removed the hps and added another LED and yes one is full spectrum. The other is ‘blurple’ there may not even be two weeks left. Im 100% milky trichs just waiting to see a few amber and will go into flush.

@I Grew Mine. Fully aware of that mate. I dont know the exact model so was just referencing what was on the unit to see if anyone could relate. So keep your wig on haha.

You're absolutely right theoretical figures mean nothing, wattage from the wall does.
Lumens/lux/par matter. Wattage from the wall matters for HID. Two LEDs can pull the same from the wall, but be completely different from each other. One cheap Chinese blurple with a fan pulling 150w from the wall can have completely different readings from a passively cooled quantum board from a reputable company pulling the same. It's like applying "grams per watt" ideas from HID to LED.
There was a guy on here a while ago who was saying that you needed a 1000w draw from the wall of LED to match a 1000w HPS. The next sentence he said you have to hang the LED two feet higher from your plants, or else it'll bleach your them.

There are a few different points that I could touch on in your reply, but to keep things simple let’s just say I was referring to a 600w from the wall HPS light as a 2000w HPS. Would that make sense? I get what you’re saying about par and efficiency but wattage is always a factor. Even if you wanna talk about a specific type of LED. Blurples, pinks, Samsung, etc. There’s still no benefit to using these false “2000w” figures. Use the actual draw from the wall.

I understand but with that very model name you posted in your response you can google it and figure out exactly what kind of wattage you’re pulling.
Even if LED is twice as efficient as HPS, at least you’ll know how much more or less light you’re providing.

I would also like to add that lumens, while helpful, is a measurement of light seen with the human eye and does not necessarily equate to light/spectrum absorbed by plants.
Not trying to nitpick, just food for thought.
