Red stem data

I always get red stems when growing in coco, never in compost or Hydro no idea why and it aint the cold as my temps never go below 22c. Now the red stems normally go back to green within a week or two in flower.
It’s not the lows, it’s the highs and average more. 22c when? Cause 28-32c is more what is needed as a day time temp. specially with a system like an LED not heating surfaces such as leafs with IR in its SPD.

i cant see where the trolmaster hydro X does VPD, just standard humidity control. the trolmaster hawkeye will monitor VPD and has a smartphone app to log VPD ect but cant control a humidifier to actually keep VPD in check so pretty useless.
NO. VPD is a calculation based on temp and RH. There are no extra sensors needed. The same way any system showing VPD does it. Reads out right on the screen.

Really struggling with all this lack of googling on trolmaster guys.

I like the trolmaster system but i cant understand why theres not any of the regular temp/rh logging meter with VPD. There was another new device sponsored on Growtube but still around 200$.
Maybe we could get a few of us together and write some manufacturer about how we got a couple of 100 growers waiting to buy their gear if they just added a little equation on vpd in their software.
And yeah, sorry GG, i shoulda done my homework better. Until recently i was only really looking at trolmasters agua and i might have mixed up some stuff. Thx anyways

? i know VPD is calculated via ambient temp, leaf temp and humidity, i never said it wasnt?, i never said you needed extra sensors? although you could do with a infra red camera like my dimlux set up uses for true real time VPD monitoring.
.
my point was to rocketsoul who mentioned having tighter environmental controls then mentioned trolmaster had something for VPD monitoring, i took it that he meant trolmaster had a VPD monitor/controller which i would have been interested in but they dont they only have a monitor which to me is pointless i want something that will run a humidifier/dehumidifier to control VPD.

like i said i have a dimlux setup that monitors VPD, but for control it will only dim the lighting to lower canopy temps and now i am in the process of swapping over to LED that is no longer an option.

Try looking at what trolmaster is then bud. It can control anything you want. Temp, humidity, AC's, dehu's, irrigation pump, fans, humidifiers...integrated PAR sensor almost released...but hey...why look it up right?

yer i think they will come eventually, like you say a small temp and humidity sensor and a way of inputting leaf temp offset wouldn't be hard to make.
although i really want some controllers that will control VPD not just monitor it. i would give good money for a multi channel led light controller say 4 channel with built in dimming and timers, EC fan control, and VPD control via humidity rather than just standard humidity control.

lol i have looked, i have downloaded the manual for the hydro x and it didnt mention VPD?, am i missing something? if i am be a gentleman and point me in the right direction.

Indeed i do. At that point i couldnt find it in europe and im leary of international warranties and sending things back and forth over the sea. We now have distribution here and very helpfull reps. Its going into our new grow, thats for sure. But i also see a niche in the market for a hygrometer with vpd, something cheap you can spread out over/in/under cannopy, i mean its just a simple calculation and shouldnt add 100$. But were were ge away from the red stems subject.
