Really lazy-ass extraction?

Although I must admit, I have never added charcoal... interesting but unnecessary for me .
I’m figuring that the way it condenses around the spot that the fluid is poured out, it adds an extra layer of filtration. I’m gonna let it sit for the night then get some coffee filters tomorrow, let it drain thru those. It’s basically filtration-oriented, I think, because the particles gather to filter the liquid as it pours. Not sure, but if that’s not the main reason for charcoal that’s probably an added benefit anyhow.

Next time...maybe use one or two fine metal sieve baskets to do a quick drain of your solvent...I typically will wash material, AFTER HAVING BEEN DRIED AND CURED, then frozen in your wash jar of choice, along with the bottle of solvent, ie iso 99% for me, for at least over night. No longer than two minutes...remember...its quick wash. Typically I do about 57 secs then drain as fast as possible. Once here, it can sit for a bit . I would keep it as cold as possible until final filtering through coffee filters. I use Mason jars for all....works great.
Once filtered, I use a small pot of boiling water( I have a single pot induction heater in my garage) LOTS OF VENTILATION OR OUTSIDE FOR FINAL EVAPORATION
I pour the final strained liquid into a square PYREX glass pan, set it on the just making steam pot of water, set a small fan directed to top of pyrex, when it is COMPETELY evaporated, scrape up with a razor or some equivalent and voila!

Thanks, I’ll think about it but I just want to get rid of this shit quick without buying any more equipment for now. As for the decarb, I figured that if I extract the THC from the plant into oil, then smoke the oil, that will take care of the decarb process just like it does with regular flower. I mean, we don’t have to slow roast every nug before smoking it, right? Wouldn’t the oil be the same as a bud? By the same token, couldn’t I just use the oil in a brownie or whatever and then it will get decarbed?

If not, can’t I just slow roast this ditcj weed first to decarb it, then do the extraction by evaporating alcohol at room temp?
Just use an old hair straightener, you can get one from a thrift store for cheap, I paid a dollar for the one I had, some parchment paper and your set.

That’s probably worth trying on a small amount, but I had way too much shitty weed and too little patience.

Sorry to disappoint but I ended up tossing the whole batch — it just looked too gross and I put enough shitty stuff in my body as it is.

Yeah, I built a press recently, so no more flat irons for me. But I couldn't tell you how much I PU through the straightener before I did.

Does the end result store better in the long run or is it just stronger? I’ve never processed any weed and have zero experience. Only smoked flower my whole life, had a bad cookie experience, never tried resins or rosins or dabs or anything like that. Just 39 but feel like an old man, LOL
