Really excited about completely remodeling my grow set up. Wanted to share the evolution of my grow room over the year.

There is an insulated building that the previous owners cousin was living in at the house we bought last year. We were storing stuff out there but earlier this year I decided to start growing bc my buddy gave me this 150w blurple light that I thought was the bees knees. I bought a tent and started learning. The first crop went great, the second I kinda messed up but still harvested, it's just not the best herb. The autos I did turned out pretty dang good and I'm currently growing ethos endgame and runtz. I spent the last month on SF new forum trying to win a light for a tent I was going to build. Due to some shady ass shit I didn't win the big light but I pulled off 3rd. The guy in second didn't need his light and thought what happened wasn't fair, plus he was an incredibly helpful great guy who basically kept that forum alive all month. He spent a lot of time sharing a vast amount of knowledge with anyone who had a question. Imo he should've won every prize. But as I said he won the sf2000 but didn't need it so he had them send it to me. So I got a new 70x140cm tent and the light. Finally got around to redoing everything this weekend. Check it out if you want.

Here's the nasty ass building. In all honestly I should've cleaned it up before I started growing but I was lazy.

I put a blanket up to make it a smaller environment to control. The first tent went in there. This video was the earliest I could find. I had already set up the closet and started that box for seedlings to get a jump on the next round. I had to take a screen shot from a video for this pic. I didn't know we couldn't share videos.

It basically continued this way until recently when the autos wouldn't finish and the next round was 9 weeks into veg, I had to buy a sheet of panda film and get them into flower. I just set them up in that corner where the mattresses are in in that last photo.

Here's the whole room at this time. It got pretty cluttered. I don't have a ton of free time so things get left out a lot. I tried a panorama shot.

Now, here's what I've been doing all weekend. This is the tear down and clean up. Began my tearing down the blanket and pulled the tent out.

Here's where I put the plants for a few hours.

I've never in my life ever torn out carpet and not felt disgusting afterwards, but this carpet was extra disgusting.

This spot on the floor stunk like piss, bad. The other side of the wall is the toilet. The guys toilet must've been leaking for what looks like 6 months. You could put your finger through the subfloor. I covered it with plywood.

Took me a minute to set up the new tent. I was absolutely sure they were missing pieces. But it was me who was missing patience.

The little tent will be for autos and the next round of photos.

A pic of the endgame and runtz in the new sf tent. The lights are a vs3000 and the sf2000 I won.

This auto I think was being under watered all through flower. I didn't know. They were really a side thing. Freebie seeds I thought I'd just put in with the vegging next round.

The next part is what I'm really excited about. That area I partitioned off with the blankets I found was really good to dry in. It's got a window in that section. I could keep it close to 60° while the rest of the room was in the 70's. So I had an idea to build a wall out of pvc and foam board. The pvc I got a bunch of free on fb and foam board is like $7 for a 4x8 sheet. I used 3, with 90% off the third left over. Here's some pics of the process.

Getting it up was difficult. When I finally had everything together and in place I drilled holes in the pvc and used 2.5 inch screws to to secure it to the ceiling and floor. The ceiling of this place has sheet rock and plywood up there, so every screw bit down well.

I cut the studs a bit too short and there was a gap. I put the gap on the bottom and can get cord under there. So it's not too bad a mistake.

I forgot to take pics as I was doing it but here's most of the foam board walls on.20221113_151909.jpg

I used zip tires to secure the board to the pvc. I still have to trim them and cover them with tape.

Here's everything finished. Except for snipping the zip tie ends and covering them with tape. I've got a couple weeks before I'll need this to dry in. Thought about maybe putting another layer of foam board on the inside. To create an air pocket in that wall. 20221113_160104.jpg

would be nice to do the duct work im in a similar size room with some 2x4's
I just used screws and some of those hooks with threads. Screwed them into the ceiling and used ropes to tie the duct up. I got kinda lucky though bc whoever built this place built the ceiling out of plywood then put sheet rock over that. So I can screw anywhere on the whole ceiling.
