Attched is a pic of the " columbian gold " plant, do you think its Sativa? No this Indica will be killed before flower, not going to grow a mystery plant.
I recently finished some of his SMCG, they looked just like yours when young, and progressed to some very nice plants. Granted, these have probably been hybridized, but I don't think you will find pure landrace worth growing, due to the variances in potency etc within a gene pool.
It is a crap shoot if someone has not explored and found a good plant to go forward with. My plants were great yielders, with a cerebral high, not fully cured yet, so the jury is out on potency, but I would give an estimate of maybe 15-16% THC.
My only complaint is there is a lack of flavour and smell while burning-but I have had this problem with several strains lately and am starting to think it is the fault of the nutrients I'm using, so I can't say it is the fault of the plant.
Overall, it is a nice plant to grow, and it does start to turn golden late in flowering (not yellow). If enough of them were grown out, I'm sure some very nice examples could be found.
On another note, I also did a 72 Colombian from USC, and that was from what I could see, a good example of a pure sativa, unfortunately the end product was hay. I have since found out that there are good and bad phenotypes in this line, I just didn't;t get a good one . A sorry waste of 6 months growing time,
