The "loyal opposition" ... cn
For some reason I like that comment.

CN, I'm just a Christian without an affiliation. I try to practice what I preach but no man is sinless. For instance, if I was single I probably would have sex outside of marriage. Strike the word 'probably' - I would have sex outside of marriage, because I'll never marry again. You men are too much work.

And if you've followed my blend of antics and deep thought in SS&P, you know I have no animus against believers.
And I wish I could counter the "you men are too much work" comment, but there's this annoying obligation to be honest.

Dirtyho .. lol; +rep. cn

I know you don't. That's what makes you so special you mean no harm to anyone. I know that people think that it is all a bunch of hokum, but I believe on faith. Someday I'll relate why I believe.

I smoke weed, I drink, I have fun, I just don't take it to a place that hurts my inner being.

Always wishing you the very best.

We're too much work?

What makes a man content?

A remote. A comfortable chair.

A cold one. A sammich.

The odd, surprise Lewinski every now and then.

The only reason I do not have a steady girlfriend is that I am too goddamn lazy to keep one.

Girlfriends are expensive and time-consuming.

Even the most user-friendly relationships eventually reach that point where she expects more.

Then I must have a more needy man. He does love the remote-good call and he is sleeping in the recliner as we speak.

I dunno, i'm doubting the sincerity. You claim to like it...but RIU is not showing anyone "liked" his post. Interesting. Very interesting.

id have to go with ghosts are real from experience, if not ghosts some kind of energy. i bought a house in Reading PA down by the river a little out of the city for whoevers familiar with the area, got it for mad cheap because the guy blew his brains out there... house was crazy, when i got it before i renovated it, bad vibes lol, there was a painting of jesus pointing and laughing at you when you came in the door, mad books everywhere.. like tons, think of a subject it was there.. magazines from way back when, books on how to do everything.. when i called in a book dealer i made 15,000 off these books after i kept like a 100 to myself, guy must of been a freaky dude. so this happened all the time, basement.. no wind or airflow, a basement under the ground, id hear foot steps or doors opening and closing. but i kept a rocking chair and itd just start rocking outta nowhere. happened all the time, felt like the house was more active when we were all partying and shit.. like i pissed him off or something

When I lived in my last house with my room mate he slept upstairs, but would frequently stay over his girl friends house. Sometimes I would hear him get out of bed, walk across the room, then walk back to bed. Then I would realize that he was over his gf house at this particular time. Freaked me the fuck out, especially when I was stoned. I know it must have been something completely rational though. Just a creaky house, that sounds like foot steps. Happens all the time.

Yeah, that's rather obtuse.

I've never had any personal paranormal experiences, but I'd say at this point from what I've seen, heard, and read about the topic, it seems plausible that ghosts exist.

you never know whats out there.. the way i seen what was happening at my house.. it was pretty cool actually, kept all the hood rats away lol... aw hell no you got spirits homie. lol i did have another not so pleasant thing happen there, i had my brother over but we took mushrooms.. i came down so i blamed it on him tripping out. he was sleepin on the couch by a big sliding glass door that led to a little deck, my brother calls me at like 3am scared as shit saying someones at my house staring at him smokin a cig with a hoodie on, i thought i was about to get robbed or something because there is NO reason for anyone to be around that house so i grabbed the .357 and checked it out, the house was down a 1/4 mile private road and no neighbors around, i was in the cut for Reading PA. noone was there so i blamed it on shrooms and let it go, bout 3 weeks later my aunt was over and sleepin by that door, she came crying and like in shock and woke me up saying that the dude was just GLARING at her, smoking a cig and holding something.. she couldnt see what it was though and said it was probably bad by the way he was looking at her.. so this time i loaded the .357 and went down ready to take someones friggin head off.. NOONE, so i busted out a picture that was left at the house of him, thought it was a super slim chance, i was at the.. nah this isnt happening stage, she left that night at like 4 in the morning and stayed at a motel and never came back

I think it's more plausible that I was either hearing things or my house creaked in a peculiar manner tricking me into thinking it's a ghost. Your brain wants to make sense of things it's hearing.

Yeah, you're probably right. I think most of the time the "paranormal" can be explained logically, but then I hear stories that really cause me to scratch my head.

Like I said, I've never had anything happen to me personally, but I've had people I know and trust tell me stories like the one SRH just told (which was a pretty f'd up story, man!). I consider myself as an open-minded skeptic.

there is most definitely some kind of energy out there. that house was awesome though... but the dudes family was a bunch of assholes, they came and left all his shit there... cept a big screen tv and his corvette. the real estate lady offered to pay to clear it but i wanted a lot of it, lots of old antiques and stuff. one great thing was when i re did the walls in the kitchen.. big safe behind the paneling, nothing in it.. i was pissed, till i worked my way about 8 ft down the room.. 25,000 dollars cash in the wall.

Damn, really?

I'd be hesitant to take money I found in the wall. I'd be worried that the guy would come "knocking" one night and want that money.

i like to believe the ghost liked me? maybe lol its a possibility, but i never had anything happen directly towards me with that house.. i got one more story, this is the one that makes me really believe theres some sorta souls still out there, ghosts or whatever.. i was pretty young, like 17 just got my license and i brought this girl over to my grandparents house.. my grandma was in the hospital she was pretty old and in bad shape, but she was into all that crazy dark magic crap.. tarot cards and stuff.. the only reason i was there was to take my grandpa to see her in the morning, but i convinced my girlfriend at the time to sleep over there. she woke me up because she heard people downstairs moving stuff around and she was scared, i thought it might of been my grandpa then i heard him start snoring so i checked it out, every light was on down there it was weird.. noone around, turned off the lights then went up to bed, as soon as i went up and hit the top of the steps, every light.. back on, i thought i was going crazy or whatever.. then i heard footsteps then a cane coming up the steps mad slow. like footstep.. cane.. footstep.. cane then it goes by the room i was sleeping in no shadow or nothing, just the noise right to my grandpas room and it stopped, so i got to the point that i thought i was just going fucking crazy, i didnt wanna believe none of it. my grandpas dead so i can put this out there.. the reason we were like.. this isnt good is because i grandpa was a serious serious meth cook in the area.. so i thought it could be someone he burnt or did something else too... i dont know, well i went to see my grandma with him the next day and she starts crying saying she thought he was dead and shit. said she had a dream that was too realistic to only be a dream, that a bunch of people came in and looted the house looking for meth and someone my grandpa burnt for a lot of money that died like 2 months prior went upstairs and beat him to death with a cane over the money. that was when i started to believe in ghosts or whatever youd call it

Wow. Truthfully? That's pretty nuts, man. If I experienced that I'd be pretty shaken.
