I germinated my Northern Lights Auto seeds successfully on April 7th and now I have passed the 9th week. I do not have a microscope to check the trichomes but they look possibly milky white from a smartphone photo when you zoom in on it. Am I far from harvest? The pistils are still mostly white and sticking out. I figuring maybe two more weeks. What do you think? Thanks

Hello, welcome to RUI. Those pistols are still streching but hard to see much with pics. Can you upload a pic a bit further away so we can see the plant please? Looks like you got a ways to go yet but a further out pic would help.
The unusually cold weather made it difficult to get the seedlings going in my outdoor shed. I used a 600w "equivalent" Maxissun LED light for a 2.5' X 2.5' area inside white painted masonite walls. Once the weather got warmer, the majority of light provided was outdoor sunlight, supplemented by indoor LED lighting at 8 PM (18/6 light schedule). My plants are in airy soil in 5 gallon pots. Here is a pic of one of my plants in a 3 gallon pot and is now 32" tall. The days here are now in the mid-80's.

Doug, here is a pic from further back. I'm a "first timer" who has done research online from multiple sources but I lack experience. I'm mostly growing outdoors in pots for stealth reasons, using the sun for most of the light source. I'm going light with the nutrients (General Hydroponics 3-pack). This plant is around 32" tall in a 3 gallon pot in airy soil. Thanks

Plant looks nice and healthy, maybe a bit stretched from your LED lights but healthy. There is likely 3 or 4 weeks left, possibly more. Keep doing what you are doing and post on this thread again in a few weeks. It will notify all on this thread and we can take another look. Welcome to the hobby and the board.
Here is a pic from a plant that is planted directly in soil outdoors. The buds are extremely sticky with 60% pistils curling in, however, it is the trichomes that I'm concentrating on due to the fact that this plant is an autoflower. It is about 10 weeks old since germination. What are your thoughts on this. The trichs look very milky to me.

Hey bud, you may want to invest in a USB microscope to check tricomes. I find it gives me a better pic. This is the one I use.
It gives me pics like this. They are only $20 and you can even find them cheaper.

Doug, I gave them 2 weeks more time and invested in a USB microscope. The harvest, drying, and curing went great. The bud quality was pretty good despite running into high outdoor heat and humidity with rain this summer. Though the buds were sticky, I believe they could have been better in the THC department. since it is my first run, I'm satisfied with the learning process and listening to experienced individuals. Do you happen to know what the best seeds are to grow outdoors for temperatures in the high 80's and humidity in the 80+% range? I'm leaning toward Gelato or Pineapple.
