Dude, if it gets to bad. They make these lozenges that have been around forever. They are like the precursor to nicorette. But they are 4 bucka packet. Just sayin if you cant afford the whole nicorette lifestyle, you can just pop a lozenge when you desperatly need one! Worked for me!! Any smoke shop or quick stopshould have them. Ahhh, just rememberd the name "Stonewall" they have menthol and regular and taste like shit butt they f$%^n work.

My "last" carton cost me $52. I smoked a carton a week and that's $225 a month.

I'm into day 13 now and have "saved" almost $95.

whoa man a carton a week? thats a lot it seems like. at my worst i was about a pack a day, best about a pack every 5-7 days. average about 8-12 cigs a day. more if im drinking. thats in my oppinion probably the hardest part. not smoking when you drink lol

but right now im about a pack every 2-3 days. sometimes 4.

edit: i got my last pack on thursday i got... 9 left.

Yup, a carton a week. I'd buy one every Friday or Saturday for the past "I can't remember how long". Just shy of 30 cigarettes a day.

I quit March 31, I've had 1 relapse, yesterday, smoked about 4 drags and got a bad headrush so I put it out.

It's nice when you start seeing the savings from not smoking, it makes it easier somehow.

I quit exactly 8 weeks ago. I have dreams all the time that i sneak a cigarette and i get so guilty. The physical addiction has subsided, but everyday I still would like to have a smoke. The best thing is that I can taste things much better. I have started cooking all my own foods to keep me busy, I feel like I am eating every time I would have smoked. You can do it Solstice! Stay strong.

Yea, I just put out a HR cigarette a minute ago.... :blsmoke:

Try regular exercise, doing so produces chemicals that make you feel good. ;-)

When you get a craving, take a walk or jog. If you have a dog or dogs take them along! Do some push-ups, distract yourself from those thoughts/cravings and redirect yourself into doing something beneficial.
That is a good idea, thank you. This will also help keep you thin/thinner when you quit.

Im attempting to quit cigs,(smoking 20 years) just due to the fact that they cost me almost 500 bucks a month, my health is fine... they are between 8-10 bucks a pack in these parts and thats just insane... thats a huge expense that is totally un-necesary. anyway, a woman i know whose husband died of lung cancer has been giving me cinnamon sticks to suck on.. they kinda help for that feeling of something in your fingers/mouth.... I dunno... it still sucks but they help keep your mind off it a little... try it - not candy flavored cinnamon sticks real rolled up cinnamon sticks

I'm starting to worry about the weight gain. I'm eating instead of smoking.

i gained 30 pounds when i quit back in october. i've lost 10 of them in the last month. still eating like a pig, just eating fruits and veggies instead of making little debbie rich.

Yeah, last trip to the grocery store was for apples, carrots and the like. No more junk food for a while, I'm afraid.

If I gain 30 pounds, well, crap, I'd need a new wardrobe! I'm not willing to do that either.

I told myself if cigarettes ever cost more than $5 a pack I'd quit, well they're $8 a pack now and I'm still smoking.
