question about hoses

I was told that a blue hose doesnt grow algae inside like a white and black hose, can anyone shed some light on this?

i think algae need humidity and a bit of light. the more efficient way to block sun spectrum and get it mostly absorbed is BLACK IMO so it can be the best choice.

Never had an issue using black hose before? Blue? couldn't tell ya.

Algae is a water born plant in need of light to multiply...the hose needs to be impervious to light to eliminate algae growth...black is where it's at...g/l
