So I have been growing for 18 years, 11 of those years have been indoor and outdoor since the day I started. I have a lot of experience with growing and have had many ups and downs, failures and successes ...
This is my second time ever running a drip irrigation system indoor. All the previous years I just did the old fashioned, back breaking, hand watering. My last run with drip irrigation made me wonder why in the hell I have not been doing this all along, saved me so so much time and trouble. I am still running promix (I am oldschool) and loving it. It is what I have perfected and stuck with all along. I was going to graduate to coco this run, but I'm gonna save it for the next. Really excited to see what I can do with it.
So here is my question, that i really want to experiment with and see others personal experiences with as well. So it is to my understanding that one of the greatest advantages of using coco is being able to feed/water more frequently up to multiple times per day. I am going to flip to 12/12 in just a few days and was wondering if I should feed like my last run (once per day) or if it would be to my advantage to set my timer on my system to shorter time intervals, to feed maybe 3 times per day instead. I will be flowering in 3 gallon containers and my plants root system have totally filled in the containers. I could easily feed 3 times per day without need to worry about overwatering. They suck it up almost instantly.
So basically my question is, even though I am in promix, do you think there is an advantage of maybe feeding 2 to 4 times per day via drip irrigation rather than one solid watering/feeding? Has anyone tried both and seen a difference in increasing growth? Yield?
Just got my lines hooked up tonight, been hand watering while waiting to install my new lines.
