Hi, I currently have a ds60 tent with a 250w hps and I want to put 2 cfl's at the bottom of the tent. I'm growing 3 plants and thinking about putting a 65w red cfl at each side of the tent where there is a gap. The plants are in a triangle one at the front and 2 at the back i'll put up a picture from paint showing how i'd like the lights to be. untitled.JPGI believe it will work ok if I keep turning the plants now and then so they get even amount of light. I couldn't be bothered drawing the light and filter lol.

Sounds like a good idea, but I would not recommend putting them on the ground. I ran into the same penetration
issues with my 250w which is why I currently roll with a 400w. Good luck to you!

Definately not on the ground, i'm currently half way through making a cfl holder with laminate flooring i'll post a pic up of it later when it's finished. I think people on here will like it.

I only just finished making it a few hours ago as I couldn't be bothered to do it last night and it didn't need doing urgently or I would've been straight on it. I put laminate flooring together using instant nails glue and tied each of the pieces together using string so I didn't need to hold it together until it dried. I drilled a small hole through each piece near the corners then used string to tighten them up. I've supported the light by putting a hook in each corner and used string from the hook to the light so it won't bend one way or another because that could damage the light fixture or even worse cause a fire or burn my plants. So here's what you was waiting for 2012-11-04 18.25.32.jpg

Just so people don't get the wrong idea,i'm growing at my brothers house and him and his girlfriend had a baby a bit ago and we decorated the soon to be baby's bedroom and he let me do a grow in there because the baby is still in their bedroom but moving in there when the grow is finished and the rest of the bedroom still needs sorting out.

I'm putting a 1kg weight at the bottom of the light support as well to stop it from falling over even though it seems supportive already but I like to make things as safe as possible.
