Purple City Genetics Gush mints

GG mono-silicic acid is very concentrated, and you only need to use 0.13 ml/gallon. Personally I cut it out all together after week 4 of flower.
Yeah I know, I don’t have the best setup for measuring small quantities of liquid, and it hadn’t hurt them, but I Actually just ordered a dosing syringe so that will be good. I have some plants that have never had it and these 4 that get it, and they are quite a bit more sturdy than their counterparts.

Day 21, I am pretty sure that my slightly burned leaf tips was just a bit of light stress not nute burn. But we are on day 21 as of these pictures from yesterday, and coming along well.B8107696-7E0B-4708-9E65-BB8201134345.jpeg8B40DC50-0115-45C2-8BA6-0AFBB6F11042.jpeg6F81AFF3-528E-4347-B516-C34B19A88FA7.jpeg

Day 28, so this is what my nutrient schedule would say is week 5 of flower. They are looking good, I raised the light 6 notches on the ratchet clips and the light stressed leaf tips are going back to normal or at least looking much better. All in all they look excellent, to me at least, for a first indoor run ever, on a more or less random clone, and not even having all the equipment to grow with when starting, I’m pleased. That being said, next time I would veg for one more week, you will see in the pictures that directly over the plant sites I didn’t let the secondary and tertiary branches reach up to the trellis enough and their are thinner spots.

I believe this is day 44 of flower here:98B5EC66-E0A4-4111-B1F5-CCDD2B872F7A.jpeg464593A2-F15C-468F-9B91-E704A9F24E07.jpeg
Colas are stacking nicely. I’ve honestly been a bit depressed, I had 2 out of 3 5 gallon batches of nutes messed up because I didn’t realize that the cal mag needed to go in first for 5 minutes prior to adding the other nutes. Lesson learned, thankfully I was accidentally doing it right in my smaller batches. The damage isn’t bad, a little bit of burnt edges on some fan leaves. Either way things still look and smell great, and I’ve begun the full tilt/ripener and cut back bloom nutes, so interested to see how she finishes.

Day 65 today, really focusing on the environment, trying to get it as cool as I can in lights off and cooler in the day. They are purpling right up. Flushing with distilled water, 5 ml of hypochlorous acid ph’d from 5.8-6.2. Still quite a few white hairs, lots of orange too, but the top buds are all still white.

Hey
I've been running this cut for a bit now. I've finished one plant in coco, and another run in soil. I'm back to coco now, and on my 3rd run. I usually run my EC around 1.3, and the plant has generally been happy with that, although I do have red petioles, but just with this cut not with other cuts next to it. PCG says it flowers in 9 to 10 weeks, but I think it's a 10-week minimum cut.
hey PJ, I’m at day 70 of flower, I definitely know they aren’t done, still quite a few white hairs especially on the main colas9B8FEE05-4747-4C3D-A9C3-CCF5E314EC23.jpeg
That is one of the tops. These are some of the more ripe lowers4C65B4FF-09D1-469F-800A-1DD58D313090.jpeg

Well, I’ve been busy. Didn’t get my drying room built out, but it is in progress. So I set up a 4x4 tent with the opening fitted over an ac unit, flush against the wall, with a 4” in-line fan exhausting out the top and outside taking air in from my dehumidified lung room through a screened floor vent, and 2 clip fans about 14-18” off the floor not aimed at the whole hanging plants, just agitating the air. With this set up my temps were not ideal, but my humidity was pretty spot on, between 60-62%, temps went from 65-72. I trimmed the first plant on day 10 of drying. 82DC5CB7-9A42-487B-8A3F-422F8F3E9FF2.jpeg

off of one plant I got 239 grams in the jars, and now with 2.25 plants trimmed on day 11 of dry I have 496 grams in the jars…I know I will lose a small percentage still…but I’m ok with that, this is close to and possibly a 2lb harvest off of a 4x4! And even before a cure they smell great and look great too.

I’m curing in 2.5 gallon and 1 gallon anchor hocking jars. I am burping every 12 hours for the first 5 days, taking buds out for 15 minutes if the humidity in the jars gets above 75%. I am going to do this for 2 weeks before a smoke report.

Nice! Gush Mints is definitely a yielder, and gotta love that creamy kushy flavor. I'm still growing it myself, and also trying out Mango Mintility, which is a cross of Gush Mints and Mango Haze. The Mango Mintility is on overdrive now at week2 of flowering.

I’m gonna run the gush mints one more gain, while it’s still fresh in my mind, pad the cellar with nugs. But I have a space runtz mother and a Gary Payton mother on deck, so as soon as I can wrangle another timber grow light I will probably run the Space Runtz. I’m gonna keep posting in this journal on my next gush mints grow, I’m sure I’ll tweak it, then I will start new journals for new strains.

so this was what I ended up with in the jars:77E72DE9-7226-48DB-9EAD-17E01AF02EC1.jpeg
I put the gallon jug of water and the 2 liter of soda in there for perspective, 2 one gallon anchor hocking jars (I know those lids are not suitable for curing I have glad wrap over the mouth and then the pressure from the lid as well as the clinging of the wrap should suffice.) and the big ones are 2.5 gallon anchor hocking jars with Montana lids, those are very nice with a good seal.

854.36 grams in the Montana 2.5 gallon jars dried with a 2 week cure now I have the jars sealed with 62% number 67 Boveda’s. Back in the cold and dark

Brought the weed out of cure. It is better than you would think being a first indoor grow and dry/cure, but it’s far from perfect.
The high notes:
It tastes like it should I feel
It smells crazy, not the strongest smelling weed ever, but it’s different than your average bag for sure.
It’s potent

The Lows
It is just a little harsh, hits the back of the throat just a touch
The ash isn’t super clean, I think from my fuck ups with flushing
Could have tasted and smelled even better I think
Could have been a tighter trim, might have made it smoke smoother
