Although it seems to have magical effects, there's nothing magical about growing it.
Becareful whom you listen to, when learning about growing, and put on your shit kickers, as the bullshit is thick.

The best way I've found about gereral growing is: if it's not true for tomatoes, it not true for cannabis.

While as a learning method I fully agree with you. As I get better at this I realize I need to dial in my feed and manipulate light to get a better crop.

I guess this is true about tomatoes but we want to become experts at pot.

There is orchid and rose competition. Would those growers say the same thing?

I suppose when asking any type of gardener, you'll find pseudoscience, but relative to boitanical science, all known plants living on the surface of Earth, use the same basic principles to grow.

I didn't study deep sea marine life or sci-fi celestial life, so plant life, living off from geothermal energy is still a mystery to me, and I wouldn't make a good botanist living on the Enterprise with Jordie and Data.

When I young, and first started getting involved with retail, I spoke with my father and said,

"It seems buying a product and selling at a profit, seems like I'm stealing from my patrons".

He replied,

"It's not stealing if you can provide them with a product or service, for cheaper than they can get or do it themselves. That, in itself, is worth value, and why you're not stealing".

Most retail stores don't do business with these principles. It's all about.. profit, profit, profit..

I ran Frisco Traders in Summit county like that for years. Affordable prices and trade for furnishings and furniture for the locals.

And I bought most of our inventory from the rich people so the regular people could furnish their ski condos to managements standards.

That's actually really cool of you. I don't frequent my local hydro shop that much. Every time I go in there he's basically trying to shill me on some new gadget he has 30 of in stock. Real pushy guy. Likes to use scare tactics like some sort of infestation is all over town. He has the answer right here. The last time I dropped in there he seemed sort of irritated because I only picked up a new set of t5 bulbs and 2 timers. Tries to sell me a 1000 watt hood for a 600 watt light. Then tries to sell me on a whole 1000 watt system.
I come to find out the lights and hood were pre owned by one of his buddies.
Guy jumped ship on growing and growshop guy offered to sell it and keep a portion of the sale.
I avoid that place like the plague unless it's an extreme emergency and I'm having some sort of hardware problem.

Although I've had great experiences with another shop. Literally a father/son shop and they're awesome as can be. Watched em load up equipment for a guy in a wheelchair. Offered to flat out deliver it. The drive sucks though.
