This is my 1st grow and since it's January soil is hard to find could I use soil/dirt from my yard?
Your just going to be disappointed. This is my 1st grow and since it's January soil is hard to find could I use soil/dirt from my yard?
Why the issue finding soil?My plant is 45 days from seed and 4days into flowering had to transfer to a bigger pot but have run out of soil would it be best to wait till I can get more or fill with plain dirt?
While yard soil is not optimum I do think it better than not potting up.Non of the stores that I am able to get to (I live on top of a mountain) sells it till spring.
Solo cup to gallon, a couple cups of dirt should do and nitrogen still till 2nd week of flowering. While yard soil is not optimum I do think it better than not potting up.
What nutes are you using?
How much are you uppotting? How much dirt are you gonna use?
You have a tractor supply or a local grow store near? There’s alway Amazon. I would stay away from outside soil for indoors too many unwanted stuff you will not want in your garden.Solo cup to gallon, a couple cups of dirt should do and nitrogen still till 2nd week of flowering.
^^^^^^^ thisIMO, any potting soil will work with organic being a big key for me. The soil is half your success, the right amount of nutrients at the proper time is the other half.
What type of soil do you suggest? I'm trying to get a ride have a ace hardware near
Ppl make me wonder. I generally have everything planned out well in advance before seeds even germinate. I may over plan but I’d rather be safe rather than jumping in the truck every few days to go to the grow store. Why would you start a grow with ONLY a solo cups worth of soil??
And then move to only a gallon pot?
Might as well go with the dirt.
Guess some folks think B4 they jump. It's also why you can find some really lightly used equipment on CL. Gotta love a NOB with money. When the grows fail, swoop in for the savings!Ppl make me wonder. I generally have everything planned out well in advance before seeds even germinate. Just order organic soil online. Cheers. This is my 1st grow and since it's January soil is hard to find could I use soil/dirt from my yard?
