This is my 1st grow and since it's January soil is hard to find could I use soil/dirt from my yard?

My plant is 45 days from seed and 4days into flowering had to transfer to a bigger pot but have run out of soil would it be best to wait till I can get more or fill with plain dirt?

Non of the stores that I am able to get to (I live on top of a mountain) sells it till spring.

While yard soil is not optimum I do think it better than not potting up.
What nutes are you using?
How much are you uppotting? How much dirt are you gonna use?

If you're growing outside, yard soil would be just fine. But potting soil is developed to be "light and airy", not compact. In addition yard soil WILL have various critters. Some of them not so friendly. I do everything I can to keep anything from outside anywhere near my ladies. Investigate your friends/acquaintances. They may have some soil you can use to pot your herb plant (like basil, chives, etc...)

Solo cup to gallon, a couple cups of dirt should do and nitrogen still till 2nd week of flowering.

You have a tractor supply or a local grow store near? There’s alway Amazon. I would stay away from outside soil for indoors too many unwanted stuff you will not want in your garden.

Oh, and @Lordhooha is right. If it's worth it to you, there is always Amazon. Not cheap, but it is a solution.

Ppl make me wonder. I generally have everything planned out well in advance before seeds even germinate. I may over plan but I’d rather be safe rather than jumping in the truck every few days to go to the grow store.

Guess some folks think B4 they jump. It's also why you can find some really lightly used equipment on CL. Gotta love a NOB with money. When the grows fail, swoop in for the savings!

I see people saying you would be dissapointed in using your yard soil, sure... buying a proper soil fit for cannabis helps a ton, but I've found that I can use my yards soil if I thin it out using perlite, and add proper nutriens. I've personally only used my own yards soil for my grows and it's turned out great.
