Preparing for humidity

I have a 3x3x6 grow tent, and have just started flowring of aura indica. Unfortunately I have no choice but to start flowering now, which means I'll be going against the humid summer and have to look for bud rot.

I can't use a standard dehumidifier since they kick out lots of heat, and the LED lights push the temp to the max since I have no A/C. Would I be better off just having more fans blowing air around? I'm wondering if the above de humidifier would do any good since the air that's being pulled from exhaust is just more of that summer humid air.

Any feedback would be great.

Not sure if that will do it. Keep in mind that your plants are going to transpire, adding more moisture to the air. I tried a small, cheap DH in a 4x4 and it couldn't control RH during flowering. I have not tried that one you linked but my gut is it won't handle a 3x3 full of healthy flowering plants. I had to run AC and a 30 pint DH which is counter productive, as you point out. Takes more AC to remove the extra heat from the DH but at least the AC is helping remove moisture too. Lots of air flow is always good and consider pruning / lolipopping to avoid pockets of foliage where the moisture can build up.

As far as bud rot, mold and powdery mildew go you could pick up an AirROS, it puts out hydrogen trioxide which will kill all the afore mentioned plagues.

If I were you I'd get a "real" dehumidifier (one with a rating in "pints") and put it in the room outside the tent, preferably draining to a sink or sump if there's a chance you'll ever forget or not be home to empty it when it's full.

That thing is even rated to pull 1 pint in 24 hours, so it's junk. For a 3 x 3 x 6 you need at least a 30 pint unit. But it's always better to place the dehumidifier in the room that your grow tent is in, and then put your intake duct in front of the dehumidifier. And then have a humidity controller (sensor) in your grow tent, that will turn the dehumidifier on that is outside your grow tent when the humidity in the grow tent gets to high!

you need to try and dehumidify the entire space where the tent is at. You’ll need a nice sized dehumidifier due to the much larger space it’ll have to do. You’ll need to get some ac in there depending on how hot it’s getting in there.

Thanks for help. I wish i could put an A/C in there. Dehumidifier will make it warmer than I should allow plant to be exposed to. I'll add more fans and hope for the best.

I’ve had a humidity issue and have been using a 7 pint dehumidifier placed outside of my tent. I have to empty the tray at least twice a day, but has been keeping humidity inside tent under 50 very easily. I can’t speak to what may happen with the temps though, I don’t have ac either but I’m setup in a basement where it’s 10° cooler at all times. I don’t have the dehumidifier ducted to the intake either, just a few feet away from tent
