Pre bug detourent

Is there a certain nutrient that I can add to a plant to keep it safe from bug attacks? I know there are certain things you can do to prevent diseas and mildew. Certain nutrients that off you make sure are topped off then your plant will fight off the crud.(sickness, mildew) but is there a nutrient to add to fight off the bugs as well? I heard just dust your plants with this certain kind of pesticide powder, but I REALLY REALLY don't like to do that.. Won't the dust stick to your wet trichomes and kinda smother and hinder your plants breathe intake significantly. I think the stuff is called borax.. Not 4 sure.. Bitrate? I don't know.. But I got a huge heavy duty garden sprayer and bought some stuff so potent that you mix a cap full to a huge full 5 gallon bucket.. And the bottle comes with huge kitchen rubber gloves. Sais if it touches your skin to jump in shower immediately.. On your clothes then you toss them in garbage.. Its a Brown liquid.. DARK Brown,, but when it hits the stirring spinning water.. Says to get a whirlpool going before adding .. It turns snow white instantly.. Its a cool Change used it once already to get rid of some sort of bugs I had.. But I got it all diluted and the mixture was ready (really stank) I had to mask up just to breathe otherwise it was like pepper spray.. Had me gagging I was coughing so hard. But I took it outside sprayed the plant once. Left it outside for 48 hours.. Stunted the hell out of my plant cause she didn't like the lighting.. And the cycle. Plus the heat and humidity of fla.. But it deffinately killed whatever kind of bug was menacing her. I'm sure that had a good part to play in stunting her growth. Harmful pesticides are never the answer.. But Damn.. That neem oil they say is so magical.. Well it's magically about 100$ for a half gallon.. And no dilluting it.. So it takes about 50$ on just 1 SMALL plant.. I can't afford that.. Any ideas? Any remedies? Any Thing lol..

SNS 209 is reported to make plants undesireable to pests. I haven't tried it yet, but will. (Google about it.).

Silica supplments are reported to make plants tougher, durable, resistant. I used it and thought it did make my leaves more leathery. But, I don't think it's worth the trouble. (I'm thinking about adding 2-4 tablespoons of diatomacious earth to my soil. That's supposed to have good stuff as well as silica. Not sure it's accessible to the plant in that form, though.).

I didn't notice silica doing anything to the thrips I had twice. It may have made the plant heartier against heat/cold. That's all I recall.

A light harpin protein foliar every 2 weeks will build up a plants immune system. The plant will be stronger and increase resin production and cell structure.

Apply 1 mist spray per plant 30mins b4 lights are on..

Insect frass is the shit for plants immune system. If yr im soil... Idk what yr medium is

neem oil is great for prevention. honestly I feel like most home brrwed repellants would be better for prevention rhan treatment.

Its always better to prevent then have to treat. But I just can't find a good preventer.. I tried some home remedy brews such as regular cooking oil heated and hot sauce and garlic added supposidly the smells and taste of this spray was supposed to deture these pest, it was just a quick over spray you didn't pour it in the soil just sprayed everything very well 1 every 2 weeks.. Didn't harm my plants but really didn't help them either, I got root aphids anyway they got to the main root and i slowly watched my plant suffer and fall.. I think i have had just about all the pest problems you can possibly have. Lol..(smh) I have had a few failures in my time due to pest.. But I guess that's just part of the game.. The stuff I got is called azatrol ec insectacide some seriouse stuff and it works definately as a treatment but the stuff is seriously dangerous stuff..
