I'm looking at what my electric bill will rise to.. I've got 2 400wat lights both being ran at 18/6 | then I'm now looking at buying a portable AC unit which is 1050 watts; but I dont know if it'll be running 24/7

But my killa wat per hour cost is .10

so lets both grow set ups cost me 1000 watts, that is .10 a hour -- that should be $54 extra--- my bill last month was 48$ still havent ran my heat or AC yet but summer time is coming-- my normal bill was around $120 so now my cost should be closer to 220$ plus the portable AC unit, and god knows what that can do...

Someone shed some better light on this for me, thanks.

What do you think the portable AC unit will run me, its a 9k so it covers up to 450sq ft and my garage is about 450sq.
I want to stay between 78-80 degrees.

it would be .10 a hour but the unit cant run constantly in a hour, or would it?

No way to really calculate the a/c. It depends on how fast it cools the room, how often it is on, ect ect.. Do a worst case scenario and say it's on for 14 hours a day. I can't imagine you'd need to run it more than that.

I'd be looking at around 42.00 at 14 hours---I was hoping it would be on some where around 10-12 hours maybe even less...

But its a garage and FL heat can heat a garage up to around 100----that isnt good espiclaly when being in tents :o

Is the garage insulated or you got bare studs exposed? Will make a lot of difference.
