If you’re like me and you put your pots in a garden with decent earth underneath, then more important than pot size is the holes size you’re gonna drill under them. Drill big holes, as many as you can. That way your roots will extend to their maximum and not be limited to your pots.

So why even have pots at all, you ask? Good question. It’s simple, really. Until the roots reach the bottom, you can move the pots freely. This is good when it rains a lot or until you find the best spot for each strain.

These are in 3 gallon fabric pots. I vegged indoors for 30 days and put them outside mid May, located in Southern CA

Roughly 2' tall now and beginning to flower

Never used bigger than 10 gallon bags for my stealth grows and never had a problem, but I do typically slice the bottoms open one month in and always had good luck now I have mounds that I set 10 gallon bags on and again slice open the bottom. The plants are limited in height by how often I top and train. If your leaving them you will need to water the smaller containers more often.

For indicas and indica leaning hybrids could you use 20 or 25 gallon fab pots?
