well I just blasted an oz of bud on my balcony with a ss turkey baster and a box fan.... it went perfectly fine and didn't seem dangerous at all. the fumes quickly blew away and dissipated into the air. it is also a windy fall day which probably helped.

this is my first run... made some ok bubble last week but yield was dissapointing. I don't have a vacuum pump... just sitting in a hot water bath at 110* not reallly sure how long to let it purge. I got some everclear to winterize it. planning on warming everclear to 100* more or less and dissolving the bho in a mson jar of ever clear. freeze 24 hours then pour through natural coffee filter. then hot water bath the everclear bho mixture at 110-115 until everclear is purged.

I might be off but that's my understanding of the process.

I winterized it for 24 hours and filtered through a coffee filter... I'm guessing I pulled like a gram (I really have no idea) from an oz of blue og cola nugs from g13 labs. The Blue OG is really terrible weed and doesn't get me high in the least bit. Very little frost (hence low hash yield I'm guessing), the only good thing about it is bud weight. The bho was clear, amber, and super sticky like taffy... looked like honey... pretty much like regular bho I guess. Not much taste to it but the bubble didn't taste much either. Smoked all of it in about 10 minutes and got a slight buzz. I used ronson and there was some sizzle and pop smoking it... there was a white waxy coating in the jar AFTER I filtered the winterized oil. Next time I will use colibri or something and hopefully non-trashy buds.

Next time don't put others at risk by blasting on your porch apartment. If you wanna risk your own life that's one thing, but to put my kids who live in the same building in danger is a dick move.

do it at your own risk, i have done it indoors since i began doing it. but I also know what im doing ......

nothing is idiot proof or mistake proof, but you can lessen your damage or possible damage by being smart and prepared

10 years not a single flare up, others havent been so lucky

yes, your own risk is one thing. the risk of others is another.
agreed

proper planning preparation and procedure are imperative and knowledge of the gas, and its cautions are important, i can show you horror scenes from

Co2 and acetylene bottles left in cars without properly securing bottles or having proper ventilation in case of a leak doestn mean pressurized bottles of gas are

the new plague it means shit happens and youd best take precautions to not get covered

people need to understand what they are doing not know how to blast into a pyrex tube

Ur a dipshit man saying everyones gonna blow up if u now how to make airflow or use a inline fan to suck the butane out of ur house how u would using an inline fan in a tent just exhaust it out of ur house....even iso I use that shit all the time dont tell me about fumes I work in a nylon ink printing shop I deal with 5 gallon buckets of lacquer and alcohol everyday plus all the fumes from the inks ...people get headaches in like 5 minutes being inside my workshop and we have pretty shitty ventilation
Here is "Pure Irony"...Dannoo93 works in an environment Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo TOXIC!!!....that he readily ADMITS that " people get headaches in like 5 minutes inside my work shop & we have pretty shitty ventilation", YET calls vacpurge a dipshit for questioning Dannoo93's ventilation methods....Alex

the choices of his work and his choices at home are two very different controlled settings...for one controlled by different people and different choices.......

good try to make a solid point but far short

fact is that a proper vac purge is not required if you knwo what you are doing , ISO winterizing can eliminate that need, but tbh vac purged oil is a standard and if one step is worth removing for lack of time or patience or money or proper equipment, then what other steps are being skipped

i cold purge now, auto winterization....think about it

I disagree!...Dannoo93 has the ability/"choice"/ "control" as a person of free will, to LEAVE a place of employment, where a Toxic environment is self evident...Check & Mate...Alex

the choice to leave or stay has nothing to do with his choices at home making BHO, your false equivalency stands

self proclaimed check mate, is a ironic cherry

a facade is a facade , i cant make you make logical progressions though thought

i believe it was a red hearing

your logic-----a informal fallacies i believe

all pistils are guns

so all guns are pistils

he chooses to work in a unsafe environment , their for he makes BHO in a unsafe environment by choice as well

hense the far short comment, cognitively speaking , for all i know he very well could be a bad BHO maker but it aint for cause of his choice of employment

a false equivalency

....I'm able to differentiate with uncanny accuracy the difference between a hand gun & a rifle, although with full knowledge & understanding the primary purpose is to fire a projectile.

I believe that people/a person establish a "Modus Operandi", and as such, tolerating a Toxic, Unsafe Work environment, would lend that same person to taking other risks, as past behavior has proven/established....Alex

I hate to tell you but I endanger your children's lives every time I get behind the wheel of my car.
Apples to oranges.

Are you really going to compare driving a fully regulated vehicle to openly exhausting 20,000+ BTUs of butane (per can)?

For the record, driving a car is relatively low risk. Only about 1/100 of 1% of the cars on the road in the US will result in a fatality each year. I wish we could say the same for BHO manufacturers. Again, apples to oranges.

I don't understand why you made the thread if you are gonna blast away anyway when the majority of people are saying not to. The risk factor is huge, and not just your safety. You can go to jail for a long time if you cause harm to others. It's kinda a game ending accident when something goes wrong.
