Cool. Look forward to the pics.

You can definitely clone during flowering, but it will take a bit longer to revert to veg. It's not ideal to put your mother into flower. If you want to maintain a mother for a SOG, you're going to need a way to keep the mother under constant light while flowering the others, so you should explore your options for doing that, whether you need to put up a partition, get another light, etc...

Darn, I don't know which one's are mama's yet...... I have 12 plants. 3 are 2 weeks, others are 6 1/2 weeks. Maybe I will Harvest them all, and use the 3 smaller ones for mothers. I don't have any room for another partition as of right now. And wife is pissed on how much I have spent on this project, So I guess I'm out of luck unless I can figure it out. I do have my veg area using floros, but its out in the open and contains a bunch of different veggies for cooking.

I might just have to take some clipping in 4 days from random plants and take note it down from what plants they came from......

well why don't you just take your strongest few for mothers and put them under the fluoros? that would be perfect...

How do i find out if there mothers before putting them through flowering? Or is it ok to find out in flowering, remove and keep under floros?

oh right. forgot you haven't sexed them.

well, if they're not much bigger than the last pics, and you have to flower now for space considerations, you're just going to have to send them all into flower, and hopefully have enough females to pull them once they show sex and put them back under flouros.

Oh ok got it. Thats perfect. Then I think I might let them grow a little bit bigger. There is not enough length on the shoots to clone yet. Maybe i will wait 2 more weeks, then flower. I would say looking at the height right now of the plants, only 3 of the biggest ones need to be put into flowering, but the rest still has a week or 2 to catch up. I could take the 3 largest, and cross my fingers one is female, and use them under floros and clone off for the next month or so.

Now I have a plan I can work with. I was thinking on next water, give no nutes, then following watering add nutes to begin flower stage. So in the next 2-3 weeks, I should know how many males/females/hermies i got. If I have only one or 2 mothers under the floros, I can easily hide them when guest come over....

Length = 4ft. 8in.
Height = 4ft. 4in.
Depth = 2ft. 8in.

I have 12 plants. And 3 tomatoes, one cilantro, 4 soy bean plants as well. I really need to buy a 4 foot T5 floro setup with 8 bulbs to give me some more room. Wife said no more money on this project. So I think for now I will raise the 2 bulb old school floro with plants bulbs up higher to fit more plants and just have my weed plants in my grow room.

Okay so I assume those are the dimensions of your space with the HPS. Assuming a 50% ratio of males/females, you're going to end up with 6 females. I would take 4-5 of those and flower them, save 1-2 for mothers, and let your mothers get some size before you start taking clones. You can LST the flowering females to fill up your space no problem.

Ceestyle, you are my new best friend.

Perfect idea, that is exactly what I am going to do. Now do you think I should keep the plants in the pots that they are in now, or more of a wider size pot to LST them out more?

So what I will do now is lead them all into flowering with in the next 3-6 days. Once I find out what is what, will kill the males off, keep the rest of the females. Take 1-2 females depending on how many I get and Veg them till clone-a-ble. Now I'm on track.

I have come along ways. Do a search for my old user and see how many problems I had in the beginning. Crazy how well they look today. One of the user even said ditch them and start over. Kind of glad I didn't and worked out all the issues. I may have made the same mistakes again.....

How big are the pots? Once you sex, you may want to move up for rootspace. One thing to note is that you don't have to use the pots to LST. Check this out: this is two plants, and I didn't start LST until flower. I attached hooks to the inside of the box and used twisties to create a canopy.

... and about starting over - people are just impatient. Considering how resilient MJ is, and how much you can learn resuscitating a plant, there's no reason to start over unless you need the space for something else ... or are working with seedlings.

looking very good. I've got those same timers for my drip system. i like them.

so FF recommends big bloom and grow big during veg? kinda strange. looking a little light green, but could definitely just be the white light. very perky.

Thats what the chart says. But I am feeding them as if there 3 weeks behind. The first 3 weeks were all jacked up. Next feeding will be plain water, then 24 dark, change the bulb to HPS, and feed with Tiger Bloom & Big Bloom and schedule lights for 12/12,,,

Error in my notes, I actually used only grow big on the last feeding. I have the chart posted on page 2 I believe in this journal. So I should be following it to the T. Let me know if I should do differently.

Its still my first grow, and still learning.

good shit boyyyeee
Nice huh? They have come along way. By the time I sex these sexy bitches, and get the clones going, I will have enough experience under my belt, the next batch pic from the clones will be way better and faster harvest times.

I wish I could speed up time. Until then.......

Is there any good articles about the flowering process. I have seen people feed just water, the 24 hours of darkness right before changing the bulb to a HPS and 12/12. Is this correct?:peace:

I don't think it's that critical. I just gradually change nutes, like 25/75, 50/50, then 75/25. I don't go 24hrs dark. I don't really see the reason.

You could give them all a good flush before you switch them though.

So sad today ... had to do some chopping due to a security issue. Sigh..
