Please look at these leaves

Just started a new to me strain, Super Lemon Haze. Here are some pics of the lower leaves. I use coco/perlite.
I'm thinking a Mg def due to the lower than I would normally do PH of 5.8-9.

I really need to understand the problem better. Any help would be most appreciated!

Ive looked at the leaves now can you show me the whole plant?
Agreed, it would be easier if you provided more info. Sometime when the severity is this bad, it's easily misdiagnosed; could be Manganese. I'll have to find a pic..

20151208_175919.jpg Hello all, thanks so much for your replies.

I'll get some whole plant shots tonight. I have never had this happen before so I look at what's different besides changing strain. There is a utube on a S.Lemon haze grow, made by the owner and chief grower of Greenhouse Seeds. Thrice they say to PH at 5.5 in hydro. So I stuck to this up until week 4 of flower. Most of the major leaf damage is from before this time period. Newer leaves are much better. I flushed with 6.5 and have been feeding at 6.3, this helped, Yet, and this is important, I'm putting in 6.3 and the run off is 5.5-6?? Everything before it was 5.8 in hydro..coco. Worked.

My set up in a 5x5 tent:
6-3gal smart pots with 3:1 coco/perlite.
1200 W HPS (2 600's) set up vertically in duel cool-tube. Temps are 63F dark and max 78F light.
Vertical scrog hoop.
House and garden full line plus Cal/mag, Liquid Karma and Snow Storm during bloom.
I'm feeding on the heavy side as the clones were veged 8 weeks (big).
Drip and drain to waste.

Mg lock out is probable?
Has signs of Mn and Ca too as I see you guys indicate.

I have heard that Ca def will lower the run off PH?? Ca def shows up top right? Mg likes a bit +ph?

I'm in the last week with these plants from seed (sorting out which will be the best).
New clones are ridiculously big in veg 8 at weeks (my bad timing), they look really healthy except for some white spots (like a thin layer of skin blister).

Bloom plants are putting out some nice frosty buds... but obviously could be better I suspect. I made a taste 3 weeks from harvest and this shit is the bomb if you like sativa. All six seeds grew to a different type of plant, smell, and high, yield. All great. Ha sorry took a puff...this isn't a "smoke" report:)

Here is a pic of a plant leaf from the new vegging replacements. This is how it starts. White flecks.

Oh! the underside of leaf looks clean, no eggs. I thought about mites.

Thanks all,

Looks like salt buildup to me. Do you feed enough to get runoff? When I had salt buildup I had leaves that looked like that. It looked like a variety of problems.

Do you have a ppm meter? It would be interesting to know the runoff ppm. I found that to be the best indicator of where buildup becomes a problem for me. 2500ppm (EC 5) is where it looks like yours. I take steps when I see it reach 2000-2200 (reducing nutes, feeding for more runoff).

Thanks all,
the top 2 leaves are what this guy said salt build up is one of the main issues with house and garden and if u are useing roots xl it will pull most the n and m out pf the leaves the last pic of the leaf u put up looks alot like spider mite check for webbing if not check around your coco for knats

Ok thanks!~ I do get run off but maybe not enough. Run off is low ph. I haven't dialed this strain in as far as "some strains are heavy eaters etc". I have a good Blue lab combo I calibrate regularly.

YES my EC form run off has been really high. I feed to much. Thanks. Why is the run off 5.5 when i feed 6.3?
It was always the reverse before. Higher out than in?? Maybe root damage in an essentially hydro feed system? Decaying dead roots might effect PH run off right? H&G + calmag in coco has always been very reliable for me.

coco runoff ph is not accurate. don't waste your time trying to chase your tail with that one. Your coco is going to buffer the ph to what it wants, just make sure you are feeding in at 5.8-6.2, usually the higher of that end for flower. Salt buildups are easy to get rid of in coco, just water it a couple times with 1/3-1/4 nutes.

Starting to sound more and more like "K" toxicity. I'll throw some pics up in a min.
