Those directions are for general purposes only. It all depends on WHEN you apply that fert. When you first introduce fert's to ur plants always dilute the strength by 75% and then work ur way up each time you feed them.
Peters is a chemically derived fert and chem fert's are great except they are absorbed much more quickly than organic fert. Liquid chem fert....doubly so.
You can still burn plants with organics, but it takes longer to show up visually, and it fools a lot of ppl into thinking something else went wrong because of the time lapse.
With all fert's....start small and increase slowly. Just like building a house, you must start with the foundation.
