temp outside is 39 F. in the tent 68F in the room 57F. not bad
You're going to want to use your light to heat up the grow tent. During veg, I like low to mid 80s, then during flower I'll drop it down to high 70s.

Just ordered some final items:

mini space heater with adjustable thermostat and tip over/overheat shutoff
pH meter
pH +/-
seedling starter soil
gardening pruners

should be all good to go.

10s! Wow, that seems kind of high. I think city water is usually around 7.0, which is what mine is.

Again, test your mixed water AFTER adding nutrients, as nutrients will effect the pH. Some make it go up, and others make the pH go down. I've had both, even from the same manufacturer, but being a different series.

i poured a quart of water in a bowl then tested it again and got pH between 10-11. i added 1/4 tsp of vinegar and tested it, got pH between 5-6

My tap water runs around 9.5-10. HOWEVER, not all tap water is "city" water. I'm running on well water. Happy smoking yall!

Im on municipal water, just very alkaline. When I first tried to adjust its pH I did it all backwards adding soda. No wonder it stayed blue on the chart. A bit of vinegar dropped it very quickly. I already purchased the pH down, but good to know I can use the vinegar in a pinch.

I left the lights on overnight and the temp at 6 am was 62 F. I don’t think the aquarium heater made much of a difference, if any. Space heater arrives today. I will run that at night and see how well it does. Seeds should be arriving today or tomorrow. Won’t be long now and I’ll be getting started. Glad I’ve used this time to prepare. I want this to go as smoothly as possible.

Also just ordered an inkbird. it arrives tomorrow.

What's the aquarium heater for? You want to avoid leaving your lights on out of schedule.

Are you saying that with your grow lamps on, the temp is 62F? That's much too cool for sure. If you meant to say the lights were off, then 62 is a little cool, but fine.

In my tents, the temperature is about 58F at lights off:

the aquarium heater in a bucket of water was a test to see if it would raise temps to an acceptable level. i am testing out the lights prior to germinating the seeds because i want to see how the temps are fluctuating. the heater has not arrived yet so i am just trying something different.

Yes, the temps got down to 62 F this morning with the lights on. It was below freezing outside. I am not growing anything yet, just trying to figure out the temperature swings.

i have a heater and inkbird arriving tomorrow.

Also, since I will be growing an indica strain, I was under the impression that I could get by with slightly lower temps. Not saying 61, but wouldn’t low to mid 70s be ok? thanks
