And I don't usually go off like that, I apologize for my outburst. But I did specify MG Garden, but as you so nicely documented is the point I was making...not that much in the way of nutes when it's a .15 or .21...that's 15 or 21/100ths of a pecentage...not alot..that was my point...lol
it's all good....I shouldnt have been rude in return.... *passes peace pipe*

i changed the soil and put it into a flower pot. it looks to be doing better. i was wondering i should give it miracle-gro "shake 'n feed" or not, i dont want to if it will hurt the plant since it's already in a weakened state..

130401-212822.jpg130401-212451.jpg this is after i put it in a flower pot with new soil. the first picture shows the discoloration i mentioned (sorry its not that clear, but you should still be able to see what im talkig about). the second shows the lights i have on it ( just two 15w clfs) any comments, advice, or info would be appreciated. thanks!

i found the soil in a flower pot outside, if i transfer it to something else with better soil will it help with the discoloration on the end of the true leaves?
So you're growing with some random dirt you found outside and wondering why you're having problems? Lol that won't cut it man better do a little research. Stop killing plants lmbo.

Miracle grow soil works just fine! What makes some growers think otherwise?? Just as long as you don't go adding a shit ton of nutes to the miracle grow soil your plants should be fine! Reason being you don't want to add nutes is because the "miracle grow soil" already has nutrients in it that will last up to 3 months. This doesn't mean your plant won't need some "light" nute feeding after I would say the 1st month and a half or so. My plants have done fine with that soil with just plain ph'd waterings, and a tad of cal-mag. I waited the said month & half then feed them with my "light" nute mixture and there fine!! I don't use that type of soil now, but it does work just fine imo..
Because it has too much nitrogen in it for growing Cannabis. Feeds for 3 months my a** you it's still full of nutes no matter how many times you try to flush, flushing just makes it release more N which you do not want during your flower period. I know from experience it is not a good way to grow. You need to be able to control your nutes better at certain times of the plants life not be at the mercy of whatever crap mg has in it.

i've done alot of research, i just don't have any money to put into my grow. if i did i wouldn't be using random dirt and a desk lamp lmao

You're going to need more man a bunch of cfls and a decent grow medium at the minimum. That old dirt was probably too Alkaline you have to test your soils ph.

i plan on growing in the future, when i can put something into it and have better equipment.i'm hoping the plant will make it far enough that i can try to make clones off of it, hopefully then ill have enough cash to upgrade everything.

I wouldn't do the granular extended release..I tried it my first grow because I had some laying around.
what a waste....

If you go spend $12 and find a good nutrient for veg in your local hardware store... (like 8-4-4 Bonnie herb and plant food)
this will give you something to feed it twice a week that will give it immediate nutrients and you will see immediate results...
*do not over feed*

:)

happy growing!!
