Playing with BHO and IWE

plant waxes are so bad for the lungs, and make it so ya cant inhale!!!! I am trying to winterize everything now. its expensive, but so is a lung transplant or dying early!

i do not see the plant waxes causing you to die early or need a lung transplant, not saying they good for you i just don't believe they are that detrimental to your health.

but winterizing is badass stuff i have a few grams in the freezer right now

yes, plant waxes DAMAGE the lungs. im positive ive read it somewhere... and if its on the internet, its gotta be true!!! but seriously, theyre horrible things to be smoking.

now its whether or not you want to consider damaging your lungs and inhaling harmful stuff to be detrimental to your health... I believe it could possibly speed up bad things by a few minutes or days sorta thing in the long run. like I said, you only got 1 set... really wanna risk it by saving $15?

this is something where youd reallyyyyyy hate to learn the hard say and something where id reallyyy hate to say "I told ya so" in 15-20 years! if something else hasnt gotten us by then.

the cough I get from smoking plant wax filled BHO (non winterized oil) CANT be good for my health.. I can barely fuckin inhale for 20 mins and im pretty "in-shape" and dont smoke cigs.. so wtf. the brain cells alone that im killing from the lack of oxygen for those 20 mins justify winterizing!!! plus it creates such a beautiful piece of see through amber shatter that is 100% easy to deal with... shatter it, twist it.. cut it with your finger nail into the PERFECT dab, drop it onto the nail without it having stick to your fingers... I love it!!

youll get hooked on winterizing... at least id hope so. I wont go back.. I cant. id quit. my lungs cant handle it.

Well our camera was stolen during the festy so very sad I cannot be posting up pics of what I have been playing with. Was able to fit 1/2 p of ground up bubba kush in my large tube. Ran 6 cans and was hella tired so stopped. Will add a bit more shake because it got even more compacted during the blast and I will run another 4 or 5 cans thru. Sapped up 1/4 of the batch right away just to get a nice flavor profile and am currently trying to wax up the rest of the batch overnight. Vacuum off, 29hg+, 105 degrees or so.

More like 105 to 115

Well woke up and it wasn't quite there. Brought it back to 105 and pulled vac for a few min. Holding at 29+ and just about done now at high noon Gonna let it go another hour or 2.

Still going. Doing low and slow Guzias style will prob let it go overnight at this point.

It's not like I'm running out of any to smoke lol

yeah, damn rights I like my probe... those bacon wrapped tenderloins come out perfect every time

Ended up as super stable shatter... oh well. Will be running the tube again and adding 1 to 2 ounces shake. Really really smooth product. Super tasty!

I think so. I think to wax it has to be actively bubbling the whole time and drying out. the only reason it will stop bubbling is because it has achieved wax which is like 130F or so?

Ya was trying to reproduce Guzias shattercomb... Will take it a bit hotter next time.

you think you got most solvents out ? like you have stable shatter at room temp? thennnnnn
if me, I'd try to get that thing to fold into a golf ball or cube, then let it melt back down at your 105-115 first, THEN, pull your full vac, i swear, its like whipping, but cleaner IMO.. and you can get perfect cookie pattys.. this way is a bit more labor, but the outcome is purty to me, and others..

the purge process has signs of progress. parchment helps me judge how far i am..

i tend to fold my oils back into center of paper many many times.. ( i have a flat sheet of ice i keep in my freezer, that i take out and use as a quick chilling device under parch, so i dont have to put my entire parchment paper in high humidity freezer to cool my oil to fold)

so ya, once i get to a point where room temp basically cools my oil enough to fold on parch, i know im getting to where i need to be..

i really dont know of an easy quick delicious way to make wax consistently..

but i do know with low heat, you need to fold oil back into a ball to get wax.-best color

with higher heat, you can run it straight. - lose color

color- usually out of our control as oil makers(growers have most control), but low heat can help...

loll, did i ever mention how i did that? P.S. been sitting out in my room with temps ranging from 70-80F, and its still shatter comb, or whats left of it, as i smoke it :]

Alright gonna throw this shatter into the chamber, get the temp up to 125 and let it go another day. Want wax damnit!! Not for any real particular reason, just to say I know how and have done it lol this stuff maybe too old to wax. Thankfully will have a bud load (harhar) of new material soon
