Ok, thank you.
Not a single person who tells you to avoid platinum has ever had one much less grown with one. Platinum will grow some great plants, a p1200 yield will be on par with a 1000 watt hps without a doubt and I know this from experience. Now is there better options for the money? Yes, if you have the time to diy a light, if not the timber is a viable option as wellThank you so much! One more question; Would you also recommend to avoid the Nova/Supernovas N300S/NS300? I saw a comment mentioning Supernova, although this could be a copy cat brand. Here is the link. Again, thank you so much!

I agree a lot of people hate on them hard and always will no matter what...Not a single person who tells you to avoid platinum has ever had one much less grown with one. So Pled contacts you on this forum to reassure you that they'll do good on their warranty and then offers you discounts for more? No wonder you're the only one still standing up for them. They made you feel special. You paid way way too much for the least efficient leds. Same as mars same as all other amazon specials. They're selling shit for a premiumI agree a lot of people hate on them hard and always will no matter what...
I replaced my 1000w with 2 P450s and so far I've been noting but happy with the results.
There are better lights out there sure....
But just because something better exists doesn't mean they are "garbage"... they do great work and grow awesome plants.
Haters need to stop whining and go use their better lights... get over it and themselves.
We swear.. we saw your past posts saying they suck we understand your opinions move on already...
As for their consumer service...
I've never contacted them... but they did contact me on here and were very nice.
They gave me 15% coupon codes, their direct contact info and reassured me if ANYTHING goes wrong with my lights they will ship another to me immediately.
Over all they have great lights, consumer service, and warranty.
I'm more than willing to pay a little extra for that...
I guess a little more money for a light just breaks some people and makes them whine on forums.
"Made me feel special"? that's a good one...More like support those who support them what a concept. So Pled contacts you on this forum to reassure you that they'll do good on their warranty and then offers you discounts for more? 1300$?....Whoever you're getting them from is ripping you off, I can get them much cheaper from amazon. A 600w for about 300$.Avoid Platinum.
I own 3 of them.
And the P12? $1300 for 700 watts of cheap monos? Never recommend that to anybody.
Wow these are not nearly that expensive on Amazon, but regardless of price, I am interested in quality over quantity. But I am not rich either. So, I'm not sure what options I have in terms of a good, average life spanned LED that will pay for itself in power usage and help my yields increase and improve in quality and quantity.Look at all this total BULLSHIT: 255w for over 500$ And they're claiming to beat a 600w HID. Sorry but ~20% efficient shit leds cannot do that. I'm sure they make some pretty veg lights. Every word is false advertisement
P450
Description
Welcome to the next generation of PlatinumLED Grow Lights – THE MOST POWERFUL LED GROW LIGHTS available on the market today! Featuring the highest PAR per watt of any other LED grow light along with the most complete 12-band spectrum available, our lights ensure maximum yield with minimum power usage and heat. PAR & spectral output equal a quality, powerful LED grow light – not wattage draw! Our ultra-powerful, efficient lights far outperform the cheaper made units that while consuming excess power, emit a fraction of the PAR. Higher yields, lower growing temperatures, better efficiency. This is PlatinumLED.
The P450 effectively replaces a conventional 600w HPS grow light while only consuming 255 watts of actual power, while giving your plants 100% USABLE light that is perfectly tuned to create maximum photosynthetic response.
The secret to the PlatinumLED success is combining an optimal blend of 12 different bands of complete light spectrum all the way from the depths of UV to the upper IR - giving your plants EXACTLY the finely tuned spectrum that they need. Further intensified by integrated 90 degree secondary focusing lenses that penetrate deep within the canopy, our higher-output, cooler running, more efficient 3W LEDs simply blow away the competition.
What’s more, all of our lights feature selectable VEG and BLOOM light spectrums to deliver maximum performance from seedling through final flower and harvest. Combine all of this with our industry leading 5 year warranty and 90-day money back guarantee and you’ll see why we offer the absolute best option for your LED grow lighting solution. You simply cannot find a better performing LED grow light at any price.

Noooooooo. This company says it's American so it's only a matter of time for a class action false advertisement suit happens. Here is where I am shopping at the moment....p300 for 356$....

Haha I take you're on their payroll.....no wait you're just clueless. You have 2 pled450s that use 255w of power and you're pulling a lb per plant. So you're getting less than a gram per watt of that shit ass led and trying to brag?"Made me feel special"? that's a good one...More like support those who support them what a concept.
I stand up for them because they make a good product and I've had noting but good experiences with them and their panels.
And how do you explain how my two P450s have so far blown away a 1k HPS/MH setup that pulled a pound a plant? And in 5 years the amount of HPS/MH bulbs I'd have to buy alone would cost over $500.
I have results to back what I say and actually own their product...Do you?
If not you have noting but an uneducated and hateful opinion... and you saying...
"Look at all this total BULLSHIT: 255w for over 500$ And they're claiming to beat a 600w HID. Sorry but ~20% efficient shit leds cannot do that. I'm sure they make some pretty veg lights. Every word is false advertisement"
Without ever using or owning one shows just what your opinion is worth.
All anyone can do is post there specs and say bullshit but cant prove a single thing they claim... It's amazing how hateful and stupid some people can be.
Platinum must be doing something right their one of the most popular LED company's on the market and they keep all you haters
chirping their name.
So by all means keep droning on and on about how a light you know very little about and have never used is "Garbage" and cant do anything near what it claims... makes you sound very intelligent.
That's straight from their website.1300$?....Whoever you're getting them from is ripping you off,
Show me. If you're talking about the P6 - that's not a 600w light, and even so, link me to where you can get a P600 for $300I can get them much cheaper from amazon. A 600w for about 300$.
http://timbergrowlights.com/What do you mean when you say "Timber"?...Is this a brand, or?...My apologies!
^ There is so much misinformation here, I don't even know where to start. Anybody else want to tackle this? So, the problem is that every single LED light and company seems to have many good reports and many bad reports, not just Advanced Platinum, and this is making selecting any LED light difficult. I am close to just going with tried and true compact flourescants.....at least no one can argue about their output. Actually, Im sure you still could.
I can get Advanced Plat P600 for 356$. Based on the reviews I've seen here, I am going to try to find a brand that everyone can agree AT LEAST holds itself to the standards that us growers require they have. Thank all of you so much, I appreciate all of the information! I don't judge the light based on who their name sounds like or how they advertise, I only care about if the light is of at least average quality in terms of durability, I do not take into account if they are "ripping off" the name of another well established company, that's advertising/capitalism at it's best. I only care about the final product's quality and craftmanship. Again, thank you all so much! I am very thankful for your time!
Before you were saying you could get a P600 for $300. Now you're providing a link to a light with half the wattage for $70 more. Here is where I am shopping at the moment....p300 for 356$....
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NTBS91Y/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_12?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Oh yeah.. Pled pays me good LOLHaha I take you're on their payroll.....no wait you're just clueless. You have 2 pled450s that use 255w of power and you're pulling a lb per plant. So you're getting less than a gram per watt of that shit ass led and trying to brag?
Go ahead brag about less than a gram per watt and how you spent $500 on some epileds.....don't stop it's funny.
Yes I got mixed up, I meant to put 300w. But there are higher ones like the p600 far cheaper than in your previous post. And I'm simply saying the advertised wattage, not the actual/true wattage....my apologies for misinforming anyone, it was not my intention. Before you were saying you could get a P600 for $300. Now you're providing a link to a light with half the wattage for $70 more.
Are you confused?
Finally! A reply that includes a solution to, my problem anyways, at hand. Thanks so much bud, just needed to know a tried and true company that I can rest assured is adequate and durable. I don't know much about LED's, so all information such as this is so much appreciated! And what does "Cobs" mean? I am sorry, I am so newbish to LED's its not even funny! Well, maybe a little...ha. Helping eachother is what it's all about...Noooooooo. This company says it's American so it's only a matter of time for a class action false advertisement suit happens.
That's only 188 watts of ~20% efficient leds. That's worse than most any leds.
Anyway platinum is using epileds which are the worst leds there are. Their efficiency is shit and longevity is too. They're good Christmas lights that's about it. Only the stupid stand behind this company. They rip off fools.
If you want multi color then California light works has the solar system 550 that uses osram leds which they tell you because osram is not shit so they don't hide it like platinum. The ss550 can be bought for about $550 if you search around and is 400 actual watts of high quality long lasting leds. I average about 1 LB per SS550.
HOWEVER cobs are king.
So in your price range look at timber grow lights Citizen options
http://timbergrowlights.com/200-watt-citizen-clu048-square-framework/
That's 220 ish watts of 60% efficient led. So more wattage and way more actual light.
The California light works and cobs will easily last you 10 years of growing. And users on this forum have had any problems fixed immediately.
Same price. Fuck platinum led. They're robbing Americans
