Yea I'm looking forward to TLO. I'm planning on following his exact recipe, but also I want to try my own tweaked version of it.

And can you better ellaberate on why I should watch my rh? I never had problems with bamboo sticks?

i had mold grow on wooden stakes from high humidity...

bamboo i believe is ok to use in high humidity environments. bamboo originates from high humidity jungles.thats why they sell them in gardening stores. so i think I'm ok? psuagro get in here and tell us your experience with bamboo stakes? u had mold grow on them?

Yes was mostly referring to wooden stakes(my experience) , but if your Bamboo stakes where treated w nontoxic(?) borates(googled it) they should be fine......bamboo is naturally resistant to mold, so is some wood though...........

Im already seeing the diffrence, seems like the plasma led side is by far more sparkly and smelly, and hps side Is def getting more weight. Still early tho,
And Word up, I'm in the works of creating a machine that goes into time, calling it a time machine, I'll keep ya posted.

On a less serious note, on 4/20/2013 there will be a cannabis cup here in San Diego at the yard in down town ( local spot for independent music and parties) its not really the type of cup that you enter your own created strain, but more like a cup where growers or collectives can enter their own grown herb. I was invited along with my collective and was thinking about entering the gsc and maybe one of my ogs. It's $25 to get in and $75 too judge. And if you want to enter your herb pm me and I'll connect you with the homie to get you in, I believe they are asking for about 2 oz each strain. If your local come thru. Music food beer and herb. I believe info will start popping up in a month or so

A lot of people seam to say that led smells more and has more crystal but hps just seams to fatten up more, also I`ve seen a lot of people say led weed takes longer to dry too, my last batch dried in 2 to 3 days.

My question is, I want a good tasting purp for the collection. Not sold on GDP as i feel most are not the original- the two that have locked me in the most are Privada's Purple OG#18 (Urkle x OG), and Purple Trainwreck (P. OG#18 x Trainwreck).

Im guessing youre going to lean towards teh OG naturally, but I wanted to hear why, you seem to love these strains and I wanted to hear some solid input why it would be a better move than the 'Wreck, besides the fact that the wreck is a hyrid of the other. lol

Your aguments for things such as yield, growth habits, potency, taste, quality, and medicinal value would be greatly valued; if you choose not to stretch your opinion thank you anyways.

It`s a classic, I mean a lot of people bitch the purple strains don`t have much potency but I hear people I know that have been smoking for years and years and they miss being able to get hold of purple haze easy or at all

CC`s Purple Chem looks worth a look for an OG fan due to the chem Mum used

Not grown it myself but there`s no reason to doubt that it will yield well and get you high

The draw on the mag+ is 357 watts each
the draw on plasma is 300 watts I believe

I feel ya on the Kali mist, not a big fan of cheese strains, that's just me tho (love quesadillas tho)

As far as purple goes, I would suggest Looking into proven purple strains, urklel, grape ape, purple kush. Truth be told, I myself am not a fan of most purple strains, looking back, the dankest purple I can remember is grape ape. But that's just my two cents. Lol if it was me I would just lower tempts and let them get the purple look lol. Start late in the outdoor season with any strain and I guarnetee you will get beautiful purple highlights.

As far as why I'm a OG addict, it really is that unique kush/OG taste that can't be resembled by any other strain. A true OG/kush strain taste the way it smells, and it stays like that till the very end of the bowl/joint etc etc.
as for growing them, it's the most difficult strain you can possibly grow, OGs are notorious for being lanky, low yields and just straight bitchy, hence why the prices are so expensive. And let's not forget that knock out psychedelic high! but it all goes back to personal likings, I grew up in LA and really the only herb I can still remember in my childhood and still be able to taste are OGs.

When searching for the pheno, make sure you get what your looking for. Don't give into yield (unless that's what u want) for my experience it's the low yielding strains that are the ones to keep.

On another note,
I'm gathering up all my pics of my previous grows with these magnums, the first run I ever did with these mag+ was with trainwrecks and a sfv OG, trainwrecks came out bomb, but no where near the sfv.
Give me some time and I will post pics of these mag+ in action since I first started using them.

Purple strains are beautiful to look at, but it seems like every purple strain I ever had lacks in something.

Thank you for the input guys, I think of may have just been turned onto OG's..damn sales pitch

2. Potency
3. Medicinal Value- anxiety for myself and my dad has a hard time sleeping (3rds for 20 some odd years)
4. Bag appeal- I love that pretty shit.
5. Yield

I am not to concerned about yield, I feel that my environment and habits will have more of an affect than anything.

Tastes and fragrance is where it's at.

After hearing OG's have a one a kind taste; I feel I need to familiarize myself with them so I know when I pick up a bag, and so happens...you know. Along with the general enjoyment of a one of a kind taste.

As for the cheese, I personally don't know if I do and or don't like em.. never tried it, but love exotic colour and a cheese/blueberry just sounds kinda sweet... kindve curious on your insight upon that as well.

I currently just got through my HUGE fucking battle of Tangerine Dream and cal/mag, they are just now starting to bounce back and theyre loving every minute. But my point is it was 2 seeds in the same 10 gallon container, same nutes, everything, BUT its such a crazy ass strain that the phenos take a completely different nute regime.. I understand a little flux.. but this is like triple the difference in use of cal/mag between the two. w. t. f. So i have recently found out the hard way to REALLY take every pheno, and geno in as it's own being.

Anyways, I am pretty fuckin' stoked for those pictures brother; always been curious of the Magnums.. AND a few different kiddo's under em!

No worries your not hijacking any thread, I'm happy we are talking about ogs!!!! Once you get into them you will hear the term OG ALL DAY haha that's if your tolerance is up and you wont fall asleep after two hits,

Anyways it's funny and strange that you bought up lemon strains. I currently am growing a lemon skunk and for some reason it's a super fast grower, given its Sativa dominate, she is giving out a super sweet lemon smell that tingles your nose.

awhile back I grew lemon head OG and mmmmmm it was soo delicious, I kinda want to look for it again. Been noticing that lemon strains have a really light green color that almost looks like it could be a def but it's just it's natural color.

I think you should def go with a lemon strain and scrog her, guarentee dank yiels and quality. Just have to be in top of her and make sure she listens.

I highly recommended rascal OG strains, especially the whites and fires, aliens are bomb too but I think it's more of a acquired taste when it comes down to OG. I recently ordered wifi which is white and fire and I also got white romulan and a fire OG strain. Even tho they are pretty much the same strain, each one has it's own characteristic. I'm looking for one mom each and eventually breed them.

Some Cali connection strains are good, just beware on Hermies and bad genetics. Most those strains are really cut only, tahoe OG for example is a cut only , Cali connections Tahoe OG is not the real one, but don't get me wrong, still bomb.
Which reminds me look into black water from Cali connections, I grew her outdoors many season and she never lets me down, she has beautiful purple OG qualities, with a fruit punch taste.

Just one thing I can't stress enough is how challenging these strains can really be, train from early all the way till harvest. If you take your eyes off them I promise you she will give you problems.

also I highly recommended kush strains, they are easier to grow, and resemble OG strains. Look into aghani kush any emerald kush, kaia kush and let's not forget the bubba kush. Bomb!

R u Cali local?

I always read the form throughout the day @ work while I have some down time, why the hell not, right? I was so eager to try and reply that I finally just said fuck it, and browsed wwms.com for 8 hours on and off looking and investigating each lemon, OG, and kush strain that pulled me in.

Well..come to find out I could have spent five minutes doing this and probably came up with the exact same strains.

Plan was to shoot for 4...came up with like 9-12 I sincerely fought over but narrowed it down pretty fast- you can always order again..

Kali Mist has been locked in since about August, September of last year- I am getting those seeds.

Super Lemon Haze by GreenHouse sounded like the best option, it between this and the Sour Lemon OG- I remember a few years back I had gotten a bag of "Super Silver G11," Im leaning toward that it was a Super Silver strain because the high left its mark and I've always loved Sativa's- one of those unforgettable things for me, so I want to find out if it could have been, I definitively remember the nugs being rock solid and uber fucking bright green. So, a Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze sounded on the ball.

I chose a haze instead because I wanted to have a bold difference between the lemon and OG tastes so I can better define them down the road. But that OG may be happenin..

Blackwater....why in the hell has nobody said anything about this strain in ANY of the seed and strain purp threads!? Where have I been!?! No, where has THIS been!? Jesus H.... but seriously, this strain looks fuckin sweet, and it fit quite perfect since I was trying to compromise (OG and a purp). Im not so sure about the genetics though; Mendo purp? I've only seen one other strain with this genetic; do you know which direction it leans on the Ind./Sat. basis?? description doesnt speak to the strain very well.. though it is an OG, purple, and recommended. Would love some more on this one, ill be running indoor and now temps are 75 day, 53 (lowest possible) night- so I think ill be able to rip that purple pheno out of a solid OG geno? Good chances of that or do I need to order a few seeds? lol

And kushberry- I was looking for a seriously heavy indica towards the end of my search; but stumbled onto this and have heard this name dropped several time. Checked it out and says that its great for anxiety, no appetite, and insomnia...hello. Along with it tasting good.. I think this was the easiest thing I've ever done. Hopefully its a good move.

Like I said... there were a few I am reallllly thinking about squeezing in. I fuckin want that Sour Lemon OG...

I do recall saying that CC`s Purple Chem would be good for you It`s blackwater x with chem dog.

Chem dog being the main thing that gives OG that fuel taste and blackwater being one of the better purple strains so grow purple Chem and then grow something else that aint purple and will get you super high, I`d say if your after some OG kush go with some kind of Bubba kush if you want something that will knock you out and skywalker if you want an OG with a bit more sativa in it
